Dilfer clowns Tebow

Grossman has good mechanics, BUT he throws WAY too many picks and he's been in the league for years. The Golden Calf of Bristol isnt the best mechanically, but i fully believe The Golden Calf of Bristol is better than Grossman, Grossman still makes mistakes that he shouldnt make. he's SO bad that i would even accept Mark Sanchez as a Redskin QB. being both a Redskin fan and Panther fan, watching Grossman is that ugly. i think The Golden Calf of Bristol will improve with a full offseason.

That maybe true but Dilfer was talking mechanics wise The Golden Calf of Bristol is horrible while Person was spinning it for bad journalism.

You don't have to have been a highly accomplished player to understand what it takes to be a QB in the NFL. Dilfer obviously knows a lot about the position, he just wasn't able to put theory into practice during his playing days. I would take his perspective on the QB position over just about any analyst out there.

Joe Namath had a pretty good career, does anyone take that clown seriously?

I would on what alcohol products to buy and to avoid.

Didn't read any posts past the first page, you mad? But am I the only one who thinks Dilfer is pretty much spot on?? Aside from the comment about the 79th QB being "exponentially" better as a passer, I agree with Dilfer's writeup. The Tebowmaniacs think this guy is a great QB, it's just so funny to me.

And this ^. Add Marino to that list. He's just a hot/coke head anyway. Some players had the brains, and some had the talent. Trent Dilfer obviously has the brains and the know how, but didn't have amazing talent aside from a canon throwing arm.

Trent Dilfer had 113 TD's and 129 INT's in his 14 year NFL career, not exactly hall of fame numbers. Now he is an expert on evaluating the ability of young or rookie QB's? I hardly think so.....

Why not? We've got idiots on message boards like this evaluating players all over the damn league every day.

but in my book, a QB should be judged on more than mechanics, Grossman may have better mechanics, but it doesnt make him a better passer. Vince Young has bad mechanics and even he is better than Grossman in my book.

I don't think people are saying Tebows a great QB, I think he's a good QB because in only his second year in the NFL and his first year as a starter he has taken his team to the playoffs. Then in his first ever playoff game he beats the best playoff team in NFL history in overtime. Give the kid a few more years and then we'll see if he's great or not. Tebows been told his whole life that he's not a QB . Dilfers comments are nothing new to The Golden Calf of Bristol. Tebows story could inspire young athlete's to believe in themselves for years.
