All I saw was the refs letting them play. I'm sick of fuging basketball scores thanks to offenses getting marched up and down the field on questionable personal fouls and interference calls and getting to see a defense go unhinged on a finesse team used to playing in an air conditioned bubble was glorious.

Really? Not a single penalty, not a single holding call on the Saints the entire game when Drew Breesus was getting his nails done waiting for someone to get open? The best D in the league giving Breesus all day to throw without a hold?

The offensive PI was really blatant and got called. I'm talking about the sort of ticky tack stuff that we see get called all the time-hand fighting and some mild contact between WRs/DBs, some holding here and there, etc.- going unflagged. It seemed pretty even to me tbh. Yeah the Saints got away with some holds but it wasn't like the crew was letting them get away with murder while riding SF for the same poo.

There were also some late hits on Brees and Smith that I wouldn't have been surprised to see flagged during the regular season that the crew let go.

Poor wording on my part. They are protected IF in the act of catching the ball. Thomas had completed the catch and was running. He was no longer a "defenseless receiver".

Saints have been protected by the refs for 3 or 4 years now. GTFO of here if you want complain about them finally being on the other end of those calls. Which they weren't, just for the record.
