Colston would impact our offense more than Nicks. I mean, have you watched this guy? Hes a beast. Imagine #1Colston, #2 Lafell/gettis, slot/#3 smith. Shockey and Olsen at TE. That offense would be INSANE.

I think, if they are smart, they will sign Brees in time & even if not wpuld probably not franchise him...he is not going elsewhere. Franchise Nicks & then try to sign Colston if possible. Unfortunately, I think they are smart enough to know that Nicks (keeping Brees protected) is worth more to them than Colston (even tho he is a great WR).

I really hate the Saints...glad they lost to SF.

I'd squeal just to see Nicks leave the Saints. Colston is a huge bailout for Brees and I'd love to see him leave too. No way they can keep both. I'd prefer they lose Nicks though.

colston and the other WRs have always looked better than they are because of brees, the scheme, and their oline that gives him time and protection.

nicks is a huge part of that.

you want cam to be even more lethal, give him time and space to make the most of the weapons he has. it doesn't matter what targets you get him if he doesn't have time to get it to them.

OL is a much higher priority than WR this year.

on the saints, colston can (and has) been pretty easily replaced. nicks....not so much. losing him will be a lot more harmful for their offense.

by that same token, we would benefit a lot more from taking someone like nicks over colston.

I don't think so, their defense blows. Maybe i'd take him as a #3 CB. I'd take Jenkins over Martin all day though.

If I were Colston I would like to stay in a dome, running on turf, catching balls from Brees, who is protected (by committee) by Nicks.

If I were Brees I would want to stay in a dome, WR's running on turf, throwing balls to one of the biggest surprises at WR in the last decade (Colston) and being protected by vets like Nicks.

Nicks is largely the most valuable of the three as his output is likely to stay the most consistent in spite of a change of scenery and personnel.

So if you were Colston you would take a huge pay cut and only be the #3 option on the team? I think the whole playing for Brees thing is overrated for WRs because he spreads the ball out so much. I'm sure Colston wants to be 'the man' and be paid like it. Not have less targets than a TE and scat RB.
