what rule would you like to see changed this summer

I can not stand the direction the league is being driven by rule changes. It is not broke do not try to fix it.

We can have low scoring games NFL...... Some fans enjoy them even more than the 54-68 scores. We are not a large group of mindless idiots only excited to see a number get larger.

and another thing, player safety. FU*^ Player safety. We buy tickets, jerseys and watch these players on TV because they are modern day gladiators. They get payed well because there is a risk for injury.

I am a military veteran and my life was on the line every day and we got payed crap. Let these millionaires get there blocks knocked off. ITS WHAT WE PAY FOR

EVERYTHING should be reviewable. Teams only get 2 challenges, there's absolutely no reason why they can't challenge whatever they want, even judgement calls.

Change the OT rules to where it's basically just a 5th quarter, no sudden death.

Remove that "defenseless receiver" crap. You should be able to make a hit on a receiver in order to dislodge the football and prevent a reception. That's football. Helmet to helmet obviously would still be a flag.

Yeah, reviewing flags is a weird thing.

It could definitely help out on these refs getting calls horribly wrong. We're in an age and time where games shouldn't come down to a random judgment call from a ref.

But, on the other hand, if the head ref throws the flag, goes to review it, what's that going to accomplish? He's going to see the same thing he thought he seen the first time.

It becomes this weird cycle of judgment/instant replay.

Also, for the love of all that is holy, put a microchip in the ball that tells us when the ball crosses the goal line. It is impossible to tell if a guy got into the end zone on a QB keeper when there is 21 guys laying at the goal line.

Thats why it should be reviewed by the booth like the TDs are.

Also I think if a WR or RB lowers his head that the Helmet to Helmet should not count. The guy is basically putting himself in harms way. Cant count how many time I have seen a WR lower his head to get that flag. Kinda like the tuck rule, if his head is going forward and lowered there should be no penalty.

Damn that'd be a long game.

I say switch it to college OT rules. Maybe move it back 5 yards if needed.

My last statement on reviewing penalties, I don't think reviewing is the issue but it's the way the rules are applied. It's not consistent. I agree that the rules are making the NFL pussified. Some of the rules I don't agree with. The problem I see, is that officials need to call it consistently even though the rules are not agreeable with the fans. The are some missed calls and there are some calls that are questionable. Many think the calls become more crucial as the game goes along, but whose to say a random holding penalty in the first quarter that stops a drive at midfield as no effect on the outcome. But it's part of the game as long as the refs are there.

How about adding more of a shootout quality and bring the kicking game into the spotlight even more. have kickers match distances with snapper and holder nothing else.

Sudden death.

Just kidding that would be terrible

    • I hope you understand that this Anti Bryce thing as you call it is really a pro Panthers thing. I think I can safely use we. We want the best for the Panthers.  As far as this other post saying ‘Anti’ Bryce people do misinformation.. you mean like going all in on “Renfro should have caught” that poorly thrown ball? I guess it was week 1. And calling it a drop. Comical btw.  I wonder, did you call that out or let it slide because it aligned with your agenda?
    • These are great posts with the comparisons and the numbers.   I haven’t lookyat Smity’s numbers since probably the first time he was on the ballot.  But if you watched every week you know what he is. Whatever his yardage or targets numbers were.  He was fuging dominant. I have watched since the AFL days and seen who there is to see. There are many great WRs over the years. GREAT WRs. Smitty is up there in the game of football.
    • Smith is clear cut HOF if you judge what he did by reception. Fitzgerald was a stat padder.    The most Steve Smith was ever targeted in his career was in 2005 (150 targets). The same year he wins the triple crown.    Larry Fitzgerald was targeted more than 150 times over 9 separate seasons. Not once eclipsing 1500 yards in a season.    The over glazing of Larry Fitzgerald going around is way over blown. ARZ was top 10 in passing attempts nearly his entire prime. Steve Smith and Andre Johnson had it far worse and would have surpassed his #s in the same situation.
