Old friends reuniting in Denver?

You under estimate how good ruck was for that 3 or 4 year stretch. Yeah Peppers made him better, but do you remember the 05 playoff game against the Giants? Osi cam out talking poo about how he and strahan were so much better the Ruck and Pep. They dominated that game.

I still think so. Elvis Dumervil/Von Miller is a better combo than Peppers/Buckner.

it's an arguable point that they are

Peppers was a freak, but both of the DEs in Denver are much better than Rucker was. Probably a push between the 2 teams since Carolina had better DTs.

2006 Mike Rucker was better than Robert Ayers is right now

And 40+ points a game just happens sometimes. There is not much you can do about it with today's new NFL rules.

5 times is more than 1/4 of 18 games. You think that qualifies as once in a blue moon?

Every team got torched at least once this season, including Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Neither Pittsburgh's nor Baltimore's defenses gave up one 40 burger this season. How are they comparable to a team that gave up 5?

Denver is still able to apply a huge amount of pressure on the QB and create turnovers in the secondary(just like Carolina did in 03 and 05),

9 interceptions

Compare that to 16, 26, and 23 interceptions in 2003, 2004 and 2005, respectively

which is what you have to do in order to beat finesse teams like NO, NE and DET.

they were 0-3 against two of those teams in blowout losses this season. They were also blown out against Green Bay, another team with an elite QB. The QB ratings in those games? 130.8, 117.3, 137.6, and 134.5 with a 15-2 TD/INT ratio.

Denver's problem was that they didnt have a good enough offense to capitalize on the Turnovers.

Their defense wasn't great at creating turnovers.
