Absolutely nothing. Although I'm more of a fan of non-animal logos anyways.

Very little, it's just a stylized logo. But neither do some of the most iconic logos in the NFL and for that matter all sports.

What does the yankees logo have to do with New York or Yankees? What does the 49ers logo have to do with gold and prospectors? What does the Packers logo have to do with meat and cheese factory workers?

But yeah the font looks about 100x better than the current Panthers font. The inspiration for that was obviously Jerry following a rusty pickup truck with a "No Fear" sticker in the back window on the way to the logo design workshop.

Nike is taking over the jersey design and fabrication next season when Reebok's contract ends. We can only hope that they will preserve the few remaining original logos and uniforms, and revive the many histories that have long been relegated to ESPN Classic. As for the Ravens, Panthers, Jaguars, and Titans, we can only pretend.
