Sorry, i see Kuechly as a great player at a low value position. Other really good players like Gilmore, Poe, Worthy and Brown all slip to the second. I see Luke slipping like James Laurinatis a couple years ago. MLB is not a premium position. 3-4 ILB is even less. Also most of the 4-3 teams in the league have a guy they like at MLB. Just saying. The kid is gonna slip.

Eagles need LB's and might take him in the first

totally. he's also a whole lot more versatile than many think (can play anywhere @ LB) and is much smarter than any LB that has come into the draft in a while. people aren't going to pass up on him.

no way he slips into the 2nd. eagles is ideal. at the very least the giants will pick him up. crap...i could see him getting picked by the panthers if they are impressed with his interview.

I completely agree. He is someone that I have felt like I wouldn't be shocked with if the Panthers drafted him. He could have more value than anyone else.

I think you are very wrong. You will be surprised at how high he gets drafted. Not only is he hands down the best linebacker in the draft, he is easily a top 3 or 4 defensive player in the draft. And he is actually pretty versatile. Not strictly a MLB

yeah, i don't expect it at all, but i wouldn't be totally surprised either.

i would rather us address other positions, but if he's the BPA and we are concerned with LB then it just makes sense.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
