Wow I would hate this draft.

1. I don't think they will take Jenkins at 9. I wouldn't take Jenkins without a trade down getting more picks.

2. A wr in the 2nd round wasted pick. Like serious are we ever going to run the ball with some of you MB GM. We have 89, Lafell and Gettis, 2 TE and the RB's. How many times do you think we will throw a game?

3.No Dlinemen in the whole draft is a fail.

4. Last a punter can get a undrafted punter after the draft.

U don't have to like it. Obviously he likes and I like and it many people could possibly like it. Instead of being an ass and saying" those picks are wrong" u should make a mock that satisfies u.

Yeah we have alot of weapons but how long is smitty gonna be playing at a high level. Brandon lafell has been average. Gettis just coming off a acl injury could have problems with running crisp routes and make the cuts need to be a number 1. And who else exactly will step up. If u have the chance to take someone like hill and they think he could be our guy then I'm all over it.

Everybody dosent have your philosophy on drafting. I think it's a good overall draft and sets up in the right direction for the next breed of offensive and defensive talents

1st. He put it in here to get other people opinion so stop being so butthurt because I don't agree with your Boy friends Mock.

2nd. Smith will be here long enough for us to find out if Lafell, Gettis, and Plaris can play. The probelm with you wr people is You want to keep drafting a position before we know if people on the roster can play. Sooner or Later you have to let player Develop. You can't keep drafting a position because a Guy isn't catching 70 balls by his 2nd year.

If we draft Hill and he isn't catching 70 balls by his 2nd year you will be in here again talking about drafting a wr.

3rd. While I wish it was this isn't a luxury draft for us. We have some serious holes on defense. We really need to try to draft 2 starters with our 1st 2 picks. Hopefully on defense and then get some back-ups and competition for position where we might have a young player who needs a kick in his butt.

That's not the mock I would have made. I would have way different posistions overall. But did think it was a good draft. Didn't say we had to draft hill or that I didn't like gettis and lafell. But the dude is 6'4 and fast as hell. U would be crazy not to atleast think about it. And u said earlier that there were no dlineman in this mock. Well according to your most recent post we can't give up on fua and McClain. So your theory dosent pan out. Sometimes your gonna draft someone that u like or who u think is your guy. I'm not ready to give up on anybody. I think everbody deserves their shot to shine but that dosent mean we can look at a reciever just bc we have gettis(coming off acl) lafell an pilares and Edwards.

This is definitely one of the best mocks I've seen. There's only two things that worry me:

1. No DLine depth, a place where we definitely need help, along with CB and OLB.

2. Jackson. :/ I know JR's getting over the whole character concern thing, but would he take a guy like Jackson?

#1 is only a concern if we don't make any moves in FA.

hang tight for a couple of weeks and the Panthers Plan may start becoming a little clearer.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
