I think the Rams are full of shit

League sources tell the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the Redskins continue "to rate as the frontrunner" to acquire the Rams' No. 2 pick, and that the Browns are currently "unwilling" to part with their No. 22 pick. The Redskins are reportedly willing to trade both their 2012 and 2013 first-round picks, but don't want to part with their 2012 second-round pick, which "isn’t acceptable to the Rams." The Dolphins reportedly "aren’t eager to do business with the Rams" after being spurned by coach Jeff Fisher. If the Browns hold fast on not dealing their second first-round pick — their trump card in any potential trade — it's doubtful they were ever that serious about moving up to select Baylor QB Robert Griffin III.

Looks like Redskins will go after Flynn, Dolphins after Payton Manning, and Browns will pick RG3 with #4 pick. Redskins are the frontrunners because noone else is willing to give up a house to move up to #2 spot... 2 first round picks for #2 overall is not enough so its seems like Redskins are not serious either. They just trying to get a bargain.

I think that the Redskins will eventually come to a point where they realize that they will move up and get RGIII. RGIII fits Shanahan's offense so well, and he knows that, so what we're seeing right now is that we're still a ways from the Draft, so there's some PR battles happening right now, just a negotiating tactic.

And I would say that the Dolphins would be the ones to go after Flynn. With Joe Philbin being the new HC in Miami, they would have a guy that could come in immediately and know the terms and verbage of the new offense.

And I would say that the Browns would take Richardson with the #4 pick, which would give us a chance to trade with the Browns at #22 (I assume the article meant that the Browns were unwilling to trade both the #4 and #22 pick for RGIII), so that the Browns can take Tannehill at #9.

Rams are losing their leverage. The reason you are hearing so much trade crap right now is that the Rams probably wanted to pull the trigger before FA even started so that is why they tried to manufacture the frenzy

Rams do not want to go out of the top 5, so they would like for Cleveland to pony up. Holgrem knows this. Redskins could just as easlily deal with Minny

They can spin the wheel and hope the Skins do not get a free agent QB, but if the Browns land a QB and the skins do too, then the value is reduced. Watch a team like Jacksonville throw themselves into the mix should The Skins or Browns bow out.

The Browns getting Flynn would be the worst nightmare for the Rams. Washington would wait them out because another team would have to give up twice as much or more than the Skins and I do not see that happening. Minnesota should have their ducks in a row just in case the opportunity falls to them.

Rams will pick Kalil, Vikings will pick Claiborne, Browns will pick RG3. That's top 4 picks.

What makes you think the Vikes don't pull a trade?

Either way, I think the Rams will trade out, worse case scenario they'll just have to settle with 2 first rounders.

They better watch out before the Vikings take that offer from the Redskins and royally fug them over. The Rams would then have to either take RG3 and attempt to trade him before the guy they really want is off the board or just bite the bullet and take Kalil 2nd overall.

No one wants to trade with the Vikings right now, because a team could still easily leap-frog the #3 pick. That move would have to come after the Rams have selected someone at #2.

For example, imagine the Redskins giving up a bunch of draft picks to move up to #3. Then, the Browns just move up past #3, and get the #2 spot. The price on the #2 would lower slightly because a team had moved up to #3, and the Rams would know that if they wanted to trade out of that spot and to get some value out of the pick, they would have to lessen their hold on that pick.

The draft will most likely go:

1. Colts, Andrew Luck

2. Redskins, RGIII

3. Vikings, Matt Kalil

4. Browns, Trent Richardson

It looks like Washington is the most eager to trade, but if Cleveland signs Flynn (Who I think is going to be a Dolphin), Washngton's offer will decrease. Cleveland could go after Orton and use their picks to give him a weapon and protection. I would understand that--giving up a first rounder plus to move up 2 spots?

Either way, the Rams would be stupid to deal later. I look for a trade before March 13.

If they sign Orton, for example, Cleveland will probably try to trade DOWN in order to fill needs in the first two rounds at RB, RT, WR, and CB.

I feel like the Browns should just go after Matt Flynn more so than move up to take RGIII. Keep your #4, #22, and #37 and build around Flynn, addressing your needs at WR, RT, and CB. I still can't get over how much some teams are willing to give up for RGIII yet apparently nobody offered anything of value to get Cam. Cam's footprints are all over this draft already.

    • The new (released today) FOX ONE app will allow you access to watch your Local FOX Station - similar to how the Paramount Plus app allows you access to watch your local CBS station It'll cost you $20/month for the privilege, but if you're having trouble accessing the over-the-air antenna for FOX, this could be an option to consider the new ESPN app will give you access to ESPN content, but not to the local ABC affiliate. A reminder: if you currently get ESPN via some TV provider (cable, satellite, youtube, etc) then you should be able to use the new ESPN app via your provider login, no additional payment required
    • Not even close!!! BURNS was a one trick pony who had a big game or two a year in the sack collum and was invinsible the rest of the time....   Heck hes gonna be the Giants fourth best rusher this year.
    • XL went to one of the worst teams in the NFL.  One that features a weak passing O and bad overall QB play on the season.   XL is getting way too much hate IMO.   He had an okay rookie season all things considered.   Very much on par w/ prospects that projected around the same area with him.   Panthers made a 2nd rounder a first round technicality for that contract.  XL also getting this weird kicker type blame for games.  XL somehow single handedly lost us games on one play.....and then we ignore the rest of the team that went about losing the game for 4 quarters.   Should he of caught the Philly ball? 100%.  The O and D still played like garbage that entire game.  Even after the drop, Panthers had two shots starting w/ a 3rd and 4 to convert.  They kept playing bad instead.  And even if we XL made the play....Philly would have had a minute and half to get into FG range to win it.  Who is banking on the Panther D getting that stop?  also, I am deemed Mr. Negative, yet here I am defending a no good dirty Gamecock lol
