But yeah, this is tampering if true.

Why would the Panthers care? My guess is they had no interest in him and will probably be drafting another LB anyways. They aren't going to over pay on a mediocre backup LB when they can get a young guy and groom for cheaper.

If the eagles get a guy that can play the run decent and is terrible against the pass, that will be a big upgrade. They had the worst linebacking core I've ever seen and that includes all 17 combinations we fielded this year.

I'm sure Connor wants to play in his home town, so this wouldn't surprise me at all.

After watching Connor play for most of the season, I honestly don't think losing him is a big deal at all... after all the hype I wasn't impressed.

Agents can talk to other teams in general terms. The Panthers aren't going to make a fuss over a non-issue and bite the hand that feeds them. Here we go again with posters who think the Panthers should go crazy at midnight of the opening at free agency and over pay for mediocre talent. Just look at the teams who do this and tell me how it works out for them.
