From time to time, some of you have joked that Jets quarterback The Golden Calf of Bristol should try to heal injured players and/or opponents.

It’s time to stop joking.

Safety Brian Dawkins, who played for the Broncos during the two years of the Colorado version of Tebowmania, told Alex Marvez and Jim Miller of SiriusXM NFL Radio that The Golden Calf of Bristol tried to heal Dawkins’ injured neck last season.

aaaaannnnd GO!!!

Bashing Faith was never the objective(for me) however i do find the humor in some responses to this. I also am a man of faith but im not into the laying of hands. Prayer is one thing, which is all i belive this was, but faith healers are a totally diff story.

The big deal is it's a joke thread just like the article, the last line says so much...

We present this information without opinion or comment. Because we suspect that at least 100 of you, maybe a lot more, will have something to say in the comments.

anything to bash faith...

As a person of faith, I personally don't see it as faith bashing because there will always be all kinds of religiousity blended into the faith. We just have to be wise enough to see though it.

Tim is very religious but that is how he was raised. That doesn't mean we are all like that.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
