Shockey Is "hell Bent" On Taking Action Against Nfl Network Analyst Warren Sapp

Clear cut defamation of character. I would do the same in Shockey's shoes.

Warren sapp isn't getting any brownie points for being a saints sympathizer. Wonder if in his playing days his career had been ended by a dirty hit that turned out to be a bounty, that he may be singing a different tune today?

I was watching this otl special on Jim mcmahon yesterday, quite sad.

I have zero respect for anyone who minimizes the saints behavior as acceptable.

Which is why I never pay any attention to anything on Twitter or any other internet rumor sites.

Shockey should just say, prove it or shut your fat ass up.

Though you personally might not follow Internet rumors, once something like that gets going, people tend to no longer care about facts. Which means it could hurt Shockey's reputation and his ability to find new employment. Not to mention, if he was the one that in fact "snitched", I guarantee a part of that testimony to the NFL was that his identity be kept secret, only to have it blown up by an NFL employee. Either way, Sapp should get fired and Shockey should get whatever his career annual average salary has been times the number of years he could have continued to play plus damages. That's a pretty healthy chunk of change.

A lawsuit against someone because of an accusation of being a tattletale. Shockey should have responded with the classic "I'm rubber, your glue" line.

Hell Slander is a serious thing to us common folk. The prob will get some money out of this.

He deserves it, Sapp has a pretty high ranking job as far as sports entertainment goes. And to go on air and flame someone out, especially with no form of proof is slander.

Especially when he's on a network fuging funded by the NFL. Idiot.

    • I don’t go back and look at the espn but there live it definitely said 1 shot 1 goal when it happened. I guess they had not added them yet. Still allowing goals that early is rough. Blue line is a total disaster still. Even with Slavin back. Miller and Nikishin keep making mistakes after mistakes.
    • I generally disagree with the concept of picking a position because of value early in the draft. For instance, if there's a really good safety, RB or ILB at pick 10, I'm choosing him over a project WR or DE. Better players make the team better. A bunch of ok players will give you an ok team. The number 1 goal of the draft should be to improve the overall talent on the team. Not to fill positions of need.  Deciding beforehand that you're picking a LT in the first or second round because Ickey went down is not the way to improve the team. Now if Dan has similar grades on 2 or 3 players and one happens to be a LT, then yeah go for it. But don't pass on your guy at ILB because you have a gap at LT or need to improve the pass rush with a DE. When those guys don't pan out then you haven't improved your team. But that LB could have been a franchise cornerstone for years to come. See Luke Kuechly and Christian McCaffrey.
