Michael Johnson is their pick for Carolina. Qadry Ismail agrees

Yas says Pep could still be moved and repeated the Kruger thing. Jesse Palmer agreed with Yas about Kruger and said that Johnson's motor is an issue. Palmer says they should get Robiskie if they want a WR ( I have the serious draft hots for him myself). I agreed pretty much 100% with everything Palmer said. McShay grades Carolina's recent draft history as a B-.

Geez if Michael Johnson would just play every possession he would be an INCREDIBLE pick. I have questions about his motor too and would love to have a guy that is talented and wants to get after it every play...maybe like Kruger, English, Hood, Barwin (if we are lucky enough for him to be there).

Ultimately I think we get out of today with a first round pick for Pep. Somebody is going to bite.

WOW that would be awesome to have a gifted athlete at DE who does not have a strong motor, and takes plays off.

Man, where could we get one of those?

I would love it if we get Johnson with our second round pick, I've been looking for us to get him since last year when I first started following him, I just hope he falls to us though, which I kinda doubt.

I've been thinking of him as a late first early second so if he makes the 59th that would be a no brainer imo, but we would still need a DT

and BTW how can you give our recent draft history a b-, we have been really good since the Davis draft.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
