How Is Silas Still A Coach?

I've never seen a coach lose his team as completely as he has lost the bobcats. They aren't even trying.

He needs to be fired. A decent coach would have those guys out there running their asses off. They might lose, but they would lose while trying hard.

Fire Silas.

I really like Silas and feel for him. But with Nate on the market I would like to see him come here. I guess I wouldnt mind Stephan Silas taking over here but we need some fresh air after this season. Going to be a hard choice for them to make.

I was at a game earlier in the year, and when I saw Silas, I said he doesn't need to be out here coaching he needs to be in a retirement home. He doesn't move around well at all.

But yea, he's lost the team. I really hope they look at Nate during the offseason, but knowing how the 'Cats operate, they'll probably hire from within and go with the younger Silas

Yeah the bobcats threw in the towel on this season when they decided not to go after any free agents last summer to fill the gaping holes on the roster- no use spending extra money on a new coach now. I cant knock the decision though, thats how small markets build a competitive team

He's still the coach because they fully anticipated, expected, and wanted to suck this year. He's just playing the role that the FO gave him.

Either Stephen Silas or Nate McMillan will probably be the coach next year. I'm thinking we might squeeze out 25 wins next year if we're lucky.

The players see the writing on the wall. Most of these guys won't be here next year. I'm sure they also know that the FO has sabbotaged the season for some strange reason.

If you're looking at Silas your not looking at who made this mess, on purpose. :)

I just hope it works

The younger Silas was a much loved coach in Golden State. The Warriors were hoping to keep him long term. For his sake I hope he gets a shot.

Lol. Agree . Silas gotta be the bumest coach out there.

I never wanted Silas in the first place. You don't replace a Larry Brown with a Silas. MJ gotta start doing a better job.

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
