Uh...I thought they said McCoy was their guy? If that were remotely true, why would they have Tannehill visit?

I'm going out on a limb here and say they are genuinely interested in Tannehill. I hope they take him too. For obvious reasons.

McCoy hasn't showed anything, well for me anyway, that states he's starting level. Don't blame them if look at QB's in the draft.

If they do take Tannehill, then the chain reactions will fall almost perfectly for the panthers.

The wage cap pretty much throws everything we know about the top half of the draft out the window. 2 years ago Tannerhill probably is a 2nd round pick. Now top 5 isn't out of the question. God I love the NFL. Personally I think he's this years Gabert (which to toot my own horn I was one of the few that said he was at best a 2nd round prospect) but who knows. I'd bet he is gone before we pick either to them or the Phins.

How do you figure? How does the Browns taking Tannehill at 4 help us at all?

I concur. He's very similar to Gabba gabba.

As far as why this would help us, it's simple. Bucs would have to chose Richardson. Meaning Claiborne would drop to us.

It very well be gamesmanship.

Convice other teams that you are interested in Tannehill....therefore any team really interested in Tannehill may think they need to trade up with you to get him.

Not really that hard to understand.

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
