The Top 100 Players of 2012 premieres following coverage of Day 3 of the NFL Draft

Saturday April 28th at 8pm/ET only on NFLNetwork.

I'd say Cam is in the 60s, Smitty in the 40s, Kalil in the 70s, and Jordan Gross in the 90s.

Cam between 15-25, Smith around 30-40, Beason top 50, Kalil top 75, and maybe Gross and Anderson sneak into the top 100 but I doubt it.

Smith, Beason, and Kalil are all elite at their respective positions and Cam is approaching that category. Until we start winning on a consistent basis, however, our players are going to get short changed in these polls whether they deserve it or not.

Beason was injured last year, and he was #95 in 2011.

You never know, players may be a bit jealous of Cam and skip over him.

Yeah, but they seemed like they were enthusiastic in the interviews I saw from last year. Lets take Rodgers for example; he definitely holds respect around the league and respects Cam himself.

Yep, so go ahead remove him any prediction.

Kalil, Smitty and Newton. That is it. Maybe Gross.

RBs don't get a big enough load and Gamble while good gets lost in how bad we were against the pass

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
