he left it on the table to play in Charlotte, NC....................and the Panthers showed interest

Here's a quote from Tolbert's Agent, Joel Turner:

"That's how bad he wanted to play there," Turner said. "He loves the idea of playing for Ron Rivera and being on the same team with Cam Newton. He just thinks it's a great fit."

if you're going to type up witty one-liners about how cool you are for not caring, you should at least make sure it's about something not worth caring about it, which this is.

cam is commanding some serious attention. of all the teams the broncos are playing next year, with all the peyton manning hype and everything else they're working on, and he wants to go play cam newton? it's like the saints targeting rodgers, warner, favre... and cam. this guy is the next big thing in the league and everybody knows it.

From the Denver board about us

And this lovely post from one of the Bronco fateful

You'll have to excuse them. They haven't had a legit franchise QB in their history.

And I may be in the minority, but I think Cam's days are numbered. 1) He's not going to be able to run like he does with that build without blowing an ACL. 2) I honestly don't think he's smart enough to be an elite passing threat consistently for years to come. If you'll look at the offense the Panthers ran, it was basically what we did with The Golden Calf of Bristol...except Cam has more of the physical tools in terms of arm strength and footwork and mechanics. Cam still didn't run a "pro-style" offense. It was a lot of shotgun, 1 read and a check down offenses.

It'll only be a matter of time before teams figure him out. I also think he would get destroyed in the playoffs.

Call me crazy. I just don't think that the "hey, go deep" ad-lib style is a long term solution. Of course, I live in Panthers country and am tired of hearing about him.

Cam not smart enough beside picking up 2 diferent offense in back to back season. leading to a national championship and the best rookie QB season ever.

Yeah he's not smart enough.

That post is just straight up ignorance. He had do idea on how our offense is run, it's a pro style deep passing game with a few trick plays.

This is how dumb some Denver fans are we are running The San Diego Chargers playbook with a littile read option and spread in it. Knowing that they play them 2 times a year and are division rivals. You would think they would have notice that.

1 read and check downs LOL.

You fans have a serious man crush.

I thought Tebowmania was bad.

Von practiced against The Golden Calf of Bristol each day, and yet you don't think he knows how to adjust to a mobile QB. :D

What respectable team did Cam perform well against other than New Orleans?

He won't be the next big thing until he stops reflecting on his past life as a "lion" and spends that time studying defenses so that INT/loss total goes down.

Cam watched every single offensive play in a matter of two weeks after the season ended, he's constantly working out and preparing. Don't bring up these stupid work ethic questions. Can you blame a fan base for having a man crush on the greatest rookie quarterback of all time?
