Trading James Anderson?

Theory I came up with this morning: with all this chatter about us liking Luke Kuechly so much, is there a chance they're thinking of trading James Anderson? If we take Kuechly, it would make no sense unless we moved one of the guys there currently and the only one with real trade value we would be willing to part with is Anderson for the right price. I would hate this, but does anyone else feel this theory makes sense?

Anderson is a starting-quality LB, if we had all 3 of our LBs at their peaks for an entire season he would likely be the third best out of the bunch, but he is our only starting LB that is coming back from an overall healthy season. Can't risk losing him, we need him.

You have Thomas Davis as your avatar when you should have James Anderson.

Okay, people obviously don't really worry about calling you an idiot on these forums.... So try not to take it too personally. However, James Anderson is a pretty damn good LB, he may not be as explosive as Beason or Davis when healthy, but he is solid in just about every aspect of the game. I personally really like Anderson.... I don't think if we draft Keuchly even then would we would trade him. Thomas Davis, I love the guy, but three ACL tears in past three seasons, I can't trust that.

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
