Rumor: Eagles Interested In Trading Up For Fletcher Cox

I fear all trades with Philly, they usually get the better end of these things.

Thankfully, the draft trade chart makes it pretty clear cut on what picks are being traded. But, that's kinda irrelevant, seeing as they would trade to trade up before us (most likely the Jags), seeing as how the Cox to Carolina bandwagon is getting massive.

It would be great if Philly moves up to take Cox with Jacksonville. That opens us up to take Ingram who will be a more impact player for us.

Anyway you can to get Cox out of the mix.

But seriously I would agree with you if we were a 3-4 base team. In a 4-3 we wouldn't be using Ingram to his best potential. JMO

I don't really think that Ingram has a position, which is more worrisome than anything. I guess he's best as a 34 OLB, but I'm not really sure.

Ingram definitely doesn't fit our team, at all.

Neither did Norwood and that pick has worked out so well. I agree with you on Ingram and obviously sarcasm with my Norwood comment.

That's how I sort of feel about Ingram, that he is a better version of Eric Norwood. A player that is best utilized on a team with a heavy zone blitz out of a 34 system (someone like the Steelers)

Now I think Ingram has a position. I think he will have a good chance at being DROY in a 3-4 base defense. In a 4-3 he would be mostly used as a situational pass rusher atleast for the 1st few years. Which won't be useing him to his best impact.

Hypothetically, what do we do if the Eagles trade up to 7 and take Cox?

Honestly, trading back is not a very realistic possibility. Would we go with Stephon Gilmore at that point, and hope to get one of the good 2nd round pass rushers? Do we take Floyd? Brockers?

Good, let them make the mistake but I wish we could trade back with them and gather some extra picks.

Stoner I beg you to please don't change your name and don't stop coming to this site. I plan on rubbing it deep in your face when Cox becomes a Pro Bowl player in this league even if it's with another team. You are so wrong about this kid it's going to be funny when he's in the running for DROY.
