Says the NFL Network: We will not show a draftee on the phone in the Green Room prior to the pick on the first night of the NFL Draft.

And says ESPN: We will not show a draftee on the phone in the Green Room prior to the pick on the first night of the NFL Draft.

NFLN will not show green room prospects on phone 1st nite of draft. Now, let's work on teams NOT tweeting out their picks b4 announcement

I don't like it. One of my favorite parts is seeing the shots of the players on the phone or in their living room with family members jumping, etc.

This is stupid though... I like to see the players on the phone seeing their lifelong dream come to fruition.

Aside from that, how do we, as fans, know who's on the other end of the phone? It has to be announced regardless. What does seeing them on the phone reveal us aside from emotion and confirmation that they're going to be picked?

    • Aggressive runner, hits the hole fast, and runs angry.  Just a few yards shy of the single game record for the team.  Absolutely phenomenal performance.  If the gameplan hadn't become weirdly pass heavy for the 3rd and first half of the 4th quarters he might have been flirting with 300.
    • I felt that way before the season started, but I'm sorry, he's already proven he isn't that guy, I don't need to learn anything more about him. He threw the ball 30 times today and could only throw for 198 yards, which was his 2nd best yardage game this year, he's just not the guy. Which means this season has already moved onto the 2nd most important thing going into this season after evaluating Bryce, and that's developing our best young players. You don't do that by only throwing 8 of your 30 passes to your best player who is still only a rookie.  Pepper him with targets and help develop him so he's ready to take a huge leap next year when we get a real HC and QB to get him the ball.
    • Every win comes from a non-sustainable source.  As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards.  We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are.  Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together.  The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again.  That was not even an average QB performance.  We are winning in spite of him.
