I have a good friend who is a senior this year at ASU, he is a die-hard ASU fan and has followed the career of mr. burfict pretty closely, he knows a few guys who are on the football team and this is what he told me when i said "man, burfict would sure be a steal in the 3rd or 4th"....he basically said that he is someone who has all the physical tools in the world but is a total basketcase/ not a "winner".......basically subbed himself out of the last game and refused to play. He sat dejected on the sidelines in self-pity. I'm not sure what you guys know about him, but from my die-hard Sun Devil buddy who loves all things ASU..........he basically said stay very far away from this kid. He would be "worth less than what someone will pay him"

and his opinion has changed in the last year......2 years ago he would have told you #1 ovr on this guy might not be unreasonable. there is a big reason why his "stock is freefalling." I personally believe it is because he is not commited to putting in the intense hard work to become an every down football player in the NFL and scouts see exactly that.... .......with that being said, I think Rivera and our coaches can coach a guy like him up in a few years and possibly turn him into a deadly MLB......

but they have also said they don't want project players at this point so it seems to be unlikely for the Panthers.

Positive drug test by Burfict.... Combining this with all the other stuff I can't see anyone wanting to touch this guy. May turn out to be a good player down the road but as of right now it's a waste of money to bring him into training camp.

It's sad really.

bum rap as in "that dudes got a bad rap" nto like a song. I will always support burfict even after this drug testing news but he is going to go undrafted now
