From the "For What It's Worth" department:

The Panthers are the only team that drafted two players with an 80+ overall rating. And we didn't have a first round pick.

All of our draft picks have a 63 or above (Munnerlyn was left out above - he's a 63 overall). There are 167 rookies with a 63 or higher. We drafted seven players, equal to 1 out of every 23.9 players with a 63 or higher. That's 4.2%. If all 32 teams had an equal share of these top players, we'd have 1 out of 32 (duh) for 3.12%.

With all that said, I know this is all pretty meaningless, but it is a bit interesting.

Dayyyum, an 80 on a 5th rounder is unheard of as a rookie. And btw, EA wasn't playing about becoming more strict on the ratings. Wow. 87 speed for an "explosive" jack of all trades in Goodson? I can't work with that.

I was surprised how fast Brown was. And I thought EA would give Robinson at least 90 run blocking. I believe they gave Herman Johnson 95 run block strength.

You guys aren't honestly using Madden ratings to evaluate our draft are you?

No, we aren't. But thanks for asking.

    • That does sound familiar. Those fans are deep. In snow lol. you don’t want to be up there in January.   I would think they have probably seen it all. Except what…  the championship? Gotta feel for them.
    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
