Odds Hurney Goes Crazy

all for it

what the hell is wrong with getting your 1st rounder a year early?

especially if you don't plan on finishing low enough to get a top ten next year anyway

when you have a run n front of you, you gladly mortgage your 20-something pick

if he does it, then I have a very good idea where his head is concerning our potential this year

players and coaches can blow "SB or bust" smoke all they want. If Marty does this, he is putting his money where his mouth is

Wow.

Just wow.

dude, i was about to post the same idea..

pulling a Stewart/Otah move but this year Coples/Gilmore????

I would honestly question rooting for the Panthers anymore if this happened.

Coples/Gilmore?

If you're going to wager your next year's first. You do it with more along the lines of a Cox/Coples (if any of these seconds falls)...or a Cox/Floyd...or a Cox/Kirkpatrick.

I'd don't think I'd be targetting anything less than two top 15-20 picks when wagering a future first. Gilmore or Coples might be a top 15-20 player...but I'm thinking of along the lines of our 9...and another top 15-20 pick. Not just settling for two 15+ picks where we reached because of position.

If there are trades to make Hurney will def make them. He loves to do it. That being said if their is a way to get rid of any 2nd round picks to get into the 1st this year again DO IT! Hurney is purely miss in the 2nd round, but the guy makes good 1st round picks, I'll give him that. Should be an interesting night tomorrow.

If you would pay attention, you would know my ideas.

Answer me this little question.

How well has trading back into any round ever helped this team?

I will give you the players that we have traded back up for.

Everette Brown

Armanti Edwards

Jeff Otah

So please, inform me why we should give up next years 1 again?

And why would you trust Hurney to make the right pick if we did so?

Let's use logic here, instead of Bravado.

Problem is that if you can be assured it will be late pick you surrender then it is a win for you bit that hasn't always been the case for us. We got a 19 For Otah and it cost us a second and our next year's first which was the 28th so not so bad. But then we took Brown in the second round and it cost us our first which was a 17th pick, an incredibly bad choice.

The question is who is so great at say 20 that is worth our second and next year's first that can't be approximately in the second round at 40???

Otah was a great pick at the time. Do you know how many games dude missed at Pitt for injury? Look it up.

Brown was desperation based on Peppers. I think he had to take a shot, he missed.

AE was a project. Also was not in first round. Also has yet to determine his worth in this league like most projects. This is the year.

Stop being so blatantly uneducated here. You are in way over your head cop. You sound like my wife did when she tried to talk football before we were married. She, like you, just parroted everything other dumb people said. She would run circles around you now lol.
