Some Don't Want Cam Scoring On The Ground ?

Yep. It became unstoppable around midseason...

Take Cam out and run power formations with a RB....becomes a much easier O to stop

Actually our goal line offense became VERY predictable last season. We ran QB sneaks the majority of the time. That is why team were able to key on him and why he took so many shots.

Keep using Cam on occasion with the goal line runs....I would just prefer to utilize our 3 stud RB's in those situations as well.

Force the defense to worry about who is going to carry the ball on the goal line....not just KNOW that it will be Cam.

After week 4....tell me how many times we got a first down inside the 10 yard line and didn't walk away with a TD.

It was not just Cam getting chances to score either....Cam just scored when his number was called

I would like to see Netwons carries go way down, leave the threat of him running out there but let the backs carry the rock.

So Cam was one of the best runners in the NFL last year....top 3

You want to have his carries go dramatically down? I think PFF had Williams graded out as 40th best RB and 20th best rusher...

Time to get over the Fox RB love. Cam Newton show is here. The RBs will get there touches but they are no longer the offense

We went from near the bottom in red zone TD efficiency after 9 games (21st) to 7th in the entire NFL by season's end. So if they knew it was coming they sure couldn't stop it.

And he only took one bad shot and that was because he jumped up into the air at the sideline.

You don't put shackles on a players game taking away a dangerous weapon in Killa Cam's skill set wouldn't make sense. Cam a winner and he's smart he knows he gotta save his body cause he's our franchise QB and he wants/and we need him on the field upright but at the same time you dont lock up a player when he's a dual threat.

So you want to start looking for another quarterback in three years?

I want Cam to take over the NFL. Be a one man wrecking crew that can't be stopped. He has that potential. Take his legs away this early and that ain't gonna happen.

Cam ain't Vick. In many different aspects he isn't Vick. Cam can run into his late 20s. Then he will become a mobile QB and hopefully by then a better pure passer.

If you don't run Cam early on....then you waste his talent. Turn what could be a guy who takes over the NFL into someone who doesn't.

I don't vote for Megatron b/c I am scared of fake curses....and I won't complain about a RB not getting enough charity work when Cam is destroying teams. No issues w/ the touches last year. Cam needs his...his is better with his than anyone else.

He did all the running he needed to last season, defense will respect his legs on every play from now on. You do not need to give him carries.

overreact much?

The people who get ahead in the world are the ones who think about tomorrow instead of today.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
