Is Eric Norwood A Bust?

He's done pretty much nothing since he's been drafted, and was inactive a number of games last year. I don't expect him to even make it out of the preseason if he doesn't show Rivera something, is he a bust?

I think a bust is someone that experts and scouts have a high expectation for and then they don't meet those expectations.

For a guy like Norwood to get drafted in the middle rounds and then be converted to DE, that's more of a coaches/personal problem for not being able to help the guy pan out.

Unfortunately for tweeners, they are tweeners...no one can truely figure out where they fit. He may not work out, but he was worth a shot. Like many have said, a 4th rdr is not a bust per se, just didn't work out the way they thought. This pre-season is make or break for him I think, IF Alexander works out he's even at a higher risk.

Consistently missing in the 4th - 7th will end up seriously hurting the team tho.

    • He had a turnover on all three goals he was on the ice for. Plus he had that god awful delay of game penalty. Like legit his GS actually shows he was the cause of the loss and he was only on the ice for 12 minutes. You remove him from that game and the Canes win or at worst go to OT.  Let's put this in perspective, in 12 minutes he directly led to 3 goals against. In the 48 minutes without him on the ice it was an even-steven 2-2 game and that's disregarding that god awful delay of game penalty that led to goal number 4 of the 5 given up.      I don't see how anyone could say that he didn't directly lead to the loss.
    • reality is the piling on of Frank Reich is just the standard huddle angle we take of putting all blame on someone after the fact.   as I was an OG Frank hater before it was cool to be......now the swing goes too far the other way and people will claim me is as a Frank defender.  Frank Reich was the definition of a .500 middle of the road NFL coach.  He technically was a winning coach and above .500 coming here but he is and was NFL average.  we were the biggest joke in a decade.....because they paired Frank Reich (a dude who was going to do what he does in the NFL) with a dude who couldn't do NFL basics and Frank was forced to play him.  That's not Frank being a loser.  That a bad org around Frank.
    • Toronto is less physical than us, and they took them to 7  I really wish they would have won, because we match up better with them, but we have to deal with what we got  What worries me is Svech trying to take out Bob, that is desperation, that's what you do when you feel like there is no legit options left, it's what I feared, Bob is still in our core groups head, and they are over thinking, over passing Hopefully that changes tonight
