Cowherd Says We Go 7-9

Recommended Posts

Not sure why he was running down records around lunch time. He said Falcons will win the division, and our schedule is just too tough.

as much as poeple hate him, the man knows football. Was disappointed that he thinks we'll just be 'ok' albeit improved.

Cowherd knows football? Even Cowherd himself admits he isn't much of a sports expert....deems himself more of a people expert.

Cowherd also is a big market guy who can count on one hand the number of Panther game he has watched over the last 5 years.

Cowherd often can have a good pulse on fans and national view points...that's about it.

He bets on the game all the time, believe me; while he's a hack for MLB, etc. he knows College and NFL football. he does. He gets it big picture. Listen to him during the season this year. He gets it.

Cowherd is one of the most intelligent people on ESPN. I know that's like saying you have the fastest kid in the special olympics, but he gets it.

His tune sure has changed though. He's been all over Cam and the Panthers since about week 14. But I gotta admit, if our defense plays like it does last year, or Cam gets hurt....7-9 is a legitimate possibility.

Personally, I have them around 9-10 wins and a trip to the playoffs.

if our ST and D were in the neighborhood of being almost average.....we would have made the playoffs last year.

If Cam gets hurt early. We will be looking at 3 wins or so....

I start every season at 8-8....will move up or down once preseason starts and we know what we got

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
