Jon Beason This had nothing to do w anyone until Mr.Smith opened his mouth to compare his "season" to that of Cams...Did he not get the memo Cams one year in the league speaks more than his whole career thus far. Get at me haters!

Beason is fired up and I'm loving the intensity, hopefully it translates on the field!

You know, I actually think the fact that we drafted Keuchley is the reason Beason has been more verbal than we remember him being in the past. He's trying to step into that lead role more than ever now..and I think it has something to do with that analyst saying "The Carolina Panthers finally have a leader on defense with Luke" back in April during the darft. Beason is showing this is HIS defense. And you know.....you really can't deny Beason.

Rivera has these guys pumped. I'm ready for some damn football already!

If Alex tasted as good as he played, you'd be way better off with pancakes.

Robin Ferguson

They had one of the lowest ranked passing offenses in the league. If they were a good offense then he would have room to talk. They were 28th in passing offense. Their defense did all the work. He had absolutely no room to talk.

Jon Beason ‎Robin Ferguson That was the point. If your #1 in passing all the room to talk...28th CMON MANNNN!

If I could choose rather him say nothing over this...I wouldn't do it. Why let ALEX SMITH talk like that about your franchise QB and team like that? Alex....Smith. And it's not like Beason is being un reasonable. He's saying the man has no room to talk, and it's true..

One good season out of what..seven? Smith doesn't have the credentials for the sort of talking he did..

i would feel a lot better about this if the panther D had been at all relevant and at least not a joke and if beason wasn't coming off a serious injury.

the first volley was on target. this one.....ehhhh....

i just hope he and the boys can back it up this year and that it's essentially setting the stage for a playoff game next year.

    • I mean, no I’m not going to panic when he got 2 Qs and looked great in 1 and looked not great in another (let’s not mention the drop).    Yeah we finally have a team that would be considered average offensively around him. Let’s roll this season.
    • The woe is me everything but Bryce sucks mantra is stale af my friend. Look nobody here is going to argue with the fact Frank Reich was not a good head coach. At the same time. Bryce Young is now in his second season with his second coaching staff and a handpicked young offensive head coach who has been known for working with QB's such as Baker and Geno. As far as the offensive pieces around Bryce we have the 4th highest salary cap allocation (that might be even higher now after the new Moton deal) dedicated to the OL in the entire league. We have 2 first round WR's one of them 8th overall the first time we've ever selected a WR that high in franchise history. And the fact of the matter is Bryce Young did not have a good preseason. It's not the first time it's happened either. We all hope to see he and the rest of the team flip a switch in week 1. But we should all be able to agree that the offensive performances we've seen from the entire QB room (Bryce included) in preseason was simply unacceptable.
    • We have seen Bryce play… what… 9 games with AT BEST what one would consider NFL average WRs? You just can’t see the forest for the trees and keep going back to your lazy take of revisionist history.    he looked AWFUL Y1 with the worst coaching I’ve ever seen in the NFL and one of the weakest WR rooms I can recall. He looked awful first half of y2 and great second half of y2 with average coaching and average skill position. I don’t know where this elite talent argument even comes from.
