Vick calls his Top 100 ranking “a joke”

Ranked 70th by other NFL players among the top 100 players in the league, Eagles quarterback Mike Vick didn’t like it. At all.

“That’s a joke,” Vick told Mike Missanelli of 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia. “Maybe it was voted on by the peers, but I just disagree. I know how good I am and what I bring to the table for my football team, and the things that I can do on the football field sometimes can be uncanny

Houston, the ego has landed

Pretty sure I know the answer, but is there anyone on this board that feels that ranking Cam Newton higher than Vick (30 spots higher, to be specific) is in any way unjustified?

Not if you follow the criteria for the show and it's based solely on last season. A couple years from now Vick will be an after thought.

    • I knew very little about this player before we drafted him. When I read scouting reports about him I understood the pick and thought it made sense as a late round receiver with speed and special teams ability but after watching him more closely and now adding his interviews into the equation I'm actually really excited about him. I know it's just RMC but I noticed him running his routes with this extra step that really stood out to me during the general video posted earlier without realizing who it was doing that.  His speed in his first cut is just on another level and it's visible. When I saw it I was **** whoa, who was that?! Then I saw Horn JR. and my first thought was oh it's him. I think it's very possible that he was under appreciated going into the draft due to his height and stats because he played at Colorado where the attention was on 2 other players but I think this dude's ceiling is way higher than most think it is. Especially after watching his interview. He looks hungry. I may have found my fav rook for this year's pre-season. I like pulling for underdogs anyway and as someone who played on the small side myself it just gives me more reason to cheer for him. The competition at WR looks like it's going to be fierce this season. I honestly can remember any preseason where I looked at out wr group and got past 3 players who I thought were interesting but this season I'm interested in at least 5 who have my attention going into the season.
    • Wilson should be getting called for at least 3 penalties a night even in the post season. How does he not lead the NHL in PM???
