FFS you are truely clueless.

How many Pros have more than 2 PGA wins this year?

Anyone else tie Nicklaus this year in this category (73) for a career?

I'll wait.

If you're just trolling, I understand.

When was his last major? And he's the one who said winning majors is all that matters, or have you conveniently forgotten that?

4 years ago, June 2008, Tiger was at 64 wins....

4 years later and he just got to 73....

do the math...

2008 was also his last major...

*sigh*

There has been one Major previous to the US Open this year.

There are only 4 total Majors per year.

For instance Phil Mickelson has 1 Major win since 2006, man he sucks.

I'm done.

Have a nice day.

Tiger would own the world if he was a better person. His arrogance and bad course behavior have turned many off. (Then there was the other thing that lost a few more).

Announcers just talked about how Michelson heard he was Hossler's fav player and he went out of his way to help him. Tiger just dismissed him and talked about himself when the press asked a question.

Tiger has incredible talent. But I am going to pull for others to win. Much more satisfying.

You should be done now that you displayed your complete ignorance- Phil Mickelson won the Masters in 2010. And he also won in 2006, Tiger's last Masters? 2005.

And getting 9 wins in the last 4 years to finally get to 73? Okay- props to getting to 73..... but nobody, including himself, thought it would take this long.

@ladypanther Is it really that big of a deal that Tiger is not a good person? For me I watch sports not for personality/role models but for entertainment. It might not be the same for everyone but I couldn't care less if he has a bad guy(unless he's a murderer/rapist etc.)

Your last point is what helps drives the ratings when Tiger is on. He's one of the most polarizing figures in sports(in his prime), where a lot of people rooted against him as much as for him.

Welp, looks like no one is going to move up the board after a couple of under par early scores and challenge Furyk or Mcdowell.

So this should be a good 4 or 5 man duel at the most.

Hossler 3 strokes over already and has no chance, Tiger was right of course,

I found it incredibly arrogant when they asked the kid after 3 rounds if he thought he could win the Open and he replied "Absolutely.".

Live and learn son.

Really? I didn't get arrogant from that at all... Confidence maybe, but not arrogance.

I've never had a problem with athletic arrogance anyway, those at the top have to have that to a large degree. Tiger's arrogance isn't a problem, It's his crappy attitude I don't like. He's just a jerk.

I never said he doesn't draw crowds, in fact I said the opposite... but he is NOT golf. It has and will go right on without him.

Perhaps he no longer is golf, that's a legit argument... But can you say that for a long stretch that he wasn't golf? I also agree that there are many many many other golfers that I enjoy watching. It's because of Tiger in my instance that I ever even got involved with the sport. Of course I still watch occasionally... But let's all be honest for a second... It's much more interesting when he's in the hunt..

    • No, the casual fan gets sucked into THIS^^^ kind of thinking, and it's so woefully incorrect that it's almost sad. The first is what I've said numerous times, NOTHING about non guaranteed contracts save the billionaire owners a single penny, because they still have to spend their cap floor, and the only reason teams ever don't spend the full limit, is to then roll it over into the next season to be able to spend more that year. But in the end, owners pay the same amount of money no matter what. The reverse is also the same, that the players in totality make the same amount of money as well, because in your example of Clowney not getting that money this year, it will go to another player, as the cap needs to be spent. And you say how we just cut Clowney after we gave him the 2 year contract, but everyone including Clowney's agent and himself, knew when it was signed, that it was more likely to be a 1 year contract than a 2 with how it was structured.  The 2nd year was just to be able to spread out the cap hit and he was always most likely going to end up getting traded or cut. It's why agents and players don't care about the total money in a contract, it's always and only been about the guaranteed money, as the years and overall value are meaningless, always have been, always will be.
    • Agents will have their 1st round picks hold out until the pay structure of their contract is to their liking, not how much money they'll get or even how much is guaranteed, just the when/how they will get the money over the course of the contract. If they're willing to recommend those players hold our, do you really think they won't do it for 2nd rounders to guarantee them an extra 10% of their entire rookie contract?
