Cut Jimmy Clausen - Sign Troy Smith

Well then explain to me why Smith would have more value then Clausen.

Last time I heard, Smith was the one just got cut.

Lol so you are the one who makes a definite claim then ask me to support something I never said?

Smith's 7-4 TD/INT as a starter compared to 3-7 for Jimmy would certainly suggest he has more value. There is also Smith being having some good games compared to Jimmy looking bad every time he has been on the field thus far.

Please explain how you came to this conclusion

Because Clausen is a former 2nd round pick who btw is still on his original team. With a good camp/preseason he could still garner some trade interest. With Smith, you already know what you have. He's been on like what, 4 different teams already? Smith has no Value at all.

I agree with that. However, at this point (which is what was said), Clausen has a garbage rookie season and not dressing for his sophomore season on his resume. Given the choice currently, I don't see why anyone would pick Jimmy over Smith.

OHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Need I say more? shut up and end your stupid debate.

Just bc we have Cam, a black qb who can also run, "does not" and I mean "does not" mean we need a damn black running qb to be his back up. Peace and drop this debate. Later bro!!!

bc Clausen was put into a poor situation in his rookie year with a Coach who didnt want him.

and tis past season, why was he not dress up? bc Cam was Cam!!!!

If Smith was that good, hed still be on a team aite. At this time, Clausen still have more value (trade, etc) than Smith.

So long brother....

Let's be REAL about this okay? Clausen showed no leadership or spark for this team, he came to this team as a know it all douche from where douche QB's manufactured which is Notre Dame. No one on this team looked to Clausen as a leader. Clausen had no ability to throw the long ball or the BALLS to stand in there and take a hit and deliver the ball.

You have yet to show how Clausen has more value. You don't have any evidence, no point in continuing to talk like you do. If you think Clausen being on a team currently means he has more value you are an idiot.

BTW since you have provided no evidence this wouldn't qualify as a debate.

I seriously doubt a stellar preseason from JC will garner any trade interest from anyone. It's the preseason. Nobody but rookies takes it seriously. If we all recall, Cam looked like poo for the first few games.

Face it. The guy pretty much proved in his first season that he's not nfl material. I didn't even think he was all that great at ND. He doesn't have the intangibles to do much in this league. He might be able to manage the game well in a west-coast scheme where all he has to do is dump off little 5 yard dinky passes, but that's it.

LMAO

Nobody is going to trade for Jimmy Clausen. He sucks. Always has. Can we stop with this crap? Just trying to make sure people don't get their hopes up. Preseason isn't going to change a thing.

Almost every team will be showcasing a quarterback and an additional playmaker or two during preseason.

There is a reason for this.

People are shopping for backup QB's, PS QB's, and playmakers that might fill a gap on the bench.

People are not shopping for franchise players in the first two games and the 4th game but they are looking for people who have talent.

If Jimmy shows any of the tools he has and generates some interest then he may gain some momentum and some value.

This is a long shot IMO but I think the kid has some skills, marketable skills, I just don't think Carolina fans will ever see them here.
