Why do you think you aren't eating enough calories? Do you mind telling me your height, weight and calorie intake?

If you want more healthy calories eat an avocado a day or an apple with peanut butter (read the back of the jar,by the peanut butter that says only peanuts and maybe salt under the ingredients)

I'm 5'3 barely lol and am at 110 now. Not sure what my cal intake is a day. If I had to guess probably under 1000?

Yeah that's a bit low especially if you're active. If you workout a few more healthy carbs shouldn't be a big deal.

I'd add some more fruit, avocados or nuts in my diet for a little bit more calories.

Proud of myself tonight.  Hit up the gym after I left the office.  Had my post-lift protein.  Met up with some co-workers for trivia--didn't eat or drink.  Got home and did T25.  Loaded up on a dense, rich smoothie.  The mirror can be a powerful motivator.  I feel so close to that coveted six pack that I can taste it.  One more week of T25 Beta following this week, and then it's on to 4 weeks of T25 Gamma.  If I'm not super ripped in a week and half, I will be in 5 and a half.

Skipped leg day yesterday, went to the Kights game. Had 4 beers and stuffed myself with free food. But it was awesome food. Fish, steak, hummus, cheesecake, lamb. Felt like a fat POS later that night.

Tried to go hard today and make up for it but my body felt tired.

Ok, question. I'm trying to maintain my current weight but I don't think I'm eating enough calories. I'm afraid that if I do, I'm gonna ruin what I've done. I eat a lot of lean protein, veggies etc. I can't bring myself to eat many carbs. What can I eat??

fruit.  My metabolism is high, I eat quite a bit, and I still lose weight despite taking in 130ish grams of protein a day and less then 2,400 calories.

I eat a lot of fruit.  I have a set timing plan, too.  My body is like a machine.  If I have not had an orange before 1pm I will really start to crash.  Before workouts I would usually down about half a table spoon of honey, a grapefruit or two oranges, and if in a pinch a water with a lot of sugar.

If your intake is under 1000, that means...well, you're ridiculous.  If I go that low I would either be dying or killing.

Just curious what it is that you consume in the given day?  MyFitnessPal is a decent app to give you an idea.

I am 6'2 1/2" and 220ish and have to have at least 1,600 just to function and average 2,200 a day.  Once in a while a $15 trip to Taco Bell happens, though.

edit:  I am also curious as to your age.  If you do not want to be specific, just say under 22, between 23-27, 28-32, or 32 or older.  Because as a woman if you're under 22 and eating that little you're not teaching yourself good habits.  If you're 23-27 and still that petite you need to pay close attention to what you actually eat because your body probably needs more.  And women over 32, I guess to put it best - I haven't met one woman who hasn't gained at least 40 lbs. between the age of 22 and 30.

So be careful.

it would stand to reason that she only has about 85-90 lbs of lean mass, so I don't think she would be wanting to take in much more than 1300-1400 calories or so at the most under any circumstances. I have a lean body mass of about 155 pounds and my Base metabolic rate would be around 2400 calories intake to break even, having a fairly strict regimen of physical activity.

I guess my appetite isn't really that large most of the time and I just eat one decent meal a day. The rest of the time it's like protein bars and fruit. Salads are big with me and so is a lot of chicken.

I'm over 32 and I've never gained that much weight. I usually don't go over 120 at the most. I'm 110 now but am afraid I'll lose more, which I don't want.

So be careful.

You are 6'2" 220lbs  she is barely 5"3 and 110 lbs, you obviuosley need a lot more calories considering you are about a foot taller and weigh 100 lbs more.

At her height, to maintain with little exercise she needs about 1200 cals to maintain. If she exercises she could eat more.

I know it's not that simple but just because I am literally twice her size in weight, a foot taller and probably over twice her actual mass  - - - that if you just doubled 1000 cal... 2000 cal for me would not work, being active at least

I know, I know, it's not that simple, but even 3,000 calories a day when I am truly active will still allow me to lose weight.

    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
    • Nobody is saying they don't count against the cap, because yes, they technically do count against the cap as it's money the team is paying and it needs to be accounted for. But what you're not grasping it seems is that if a player gets $10 million guaranteed in their contract, whether they get literally $0 as a signing bonus or $8 million as a signing bonus, it doesn't change the overall cap hit of the contract, because cap hits are about the guaranteed money, not how much is paid up front. The only thing that how much is paid up front changes, is how the cap hit can be spread out amongst the years. So yes, technically there could end up being a slightly bigger cap hit in year 3 and 4 due to a bigger signing bonus, but if that is the case, it also means there will be a lesser cap hit in years 1 and 2 than there would have been with a smaller bonus.  But over the length of the contract, the size of the signing bonus has literally zero affect on the overall cap hit of the contract, because THAT part of it is 100% about the guaranteed money and nothing else.
