100+ heat...

I remember the last heat wave a few years ago. I lived in an old house without an air conditioner and I was taken care of two babies under two years old. I would put rags in the freezer and rub them over our bodies to cool down all day. We had a bag of jolly ranchers in the kitchen and after a few days I went to get one but they were melted into one solid ball because of the heat.

Thermometer in my explorer said 118 around 3:40 this afternoon. That was after it had been sitting in a parking lot for a few hours. Once I started moving, it dropped to "only" 105.

In all honesty, I prefer 105 degrees over 85 with ridiculous humidity. I can handle heat. I can't handle that sticky feeling that sucks all the water out of your body.

Hot here too, but not as hot. Thankfully it gets cooler much sooner here. I always laugh at people from anywhere that gripe and complain during winter and say they can't WAIT for Summer. Really?! You like insane heat, sweating, and cancerous sun rays killing your face?

I prefer extreme cold to extreme heat due to the fact you can put on as many clothes as you want to get warm, but in the extreme heat you can be naked and still be suffering.

Man, I used to work outside all the time. I'd always hear people complain about the weather, being hot and all that. I'm used to the heat, what I hate is the bugs. I absolutely hate bugs so much. Give me all the heat in the world but keep the bugs away from me.

It got to 113 today, Tomorrow may be cooler, 108 I hear. I hope so.

We brought the kids up to Great Wolf Lodge in Concord for the weekend. This place isn't as bad as some others in here made it out to be. Lines aren't bad at all for the water slides. Food has been good. They have Sam Adams Summer on tap.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
