Jared Green.

As of late, I've noticed his name being thrown around by Rivera and Hurney. It's very obvious that they like him. But from all the twitter posts, articles, and videos on Panthers.com. Everything points to him making the team.

I see Green as a vertical threat. Which bodes well for him in the air coryell.

In any case he does not, he's probably making the practice squad. I'm not very informed about the whole PS process and the nature of it. Would any team be able to swoop in and nab Green in case he just barely misses to make the team?

I just don't see him making the team with all the wide outs fighting for that last spot. Pilares and Adams are probably the last two in there. You still have Smith, LaFell, Gettis, Murphy.

Not even counting Lamont Bryant and Seyi Arijotutu who have been mentioned by Rivera as well, but not as much as Green.

Then there's the guys who probably won't have a snow balls chance in hell to make the team. Brenton Bursin and Rico Wallace and probably someone else that I'm forgetting..

Either way, this is a good problem to have. Talent at the WR spot. Competition as well.

Essentially the guys on the PS are free agents. Anybody can grab them. I know some teams will use the strategy of not playing some players in the 4th preseason game so that they can "sneak" guys on the practice squad.

It might be hard to hide the son of a HOFer

Yeah like what we did with Darvin Adams last year. Adams didn't see any PT in last year preseason.

    • I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa
    • You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously
    • Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
