TAUREN POOLE

Poole needs to show that he can play special teams to stick around because he won't be getting carries unless we blow out someone (like we did last year against the Bucs) where Josh Vaughn had 24 rushing yards on seven attempts. The thing with Vaughn is that he is a very good special teams player. Vaughn recorded nine tackles in seven games on special teams last year. If Poole can prove his value on special teams than he gets the nod over Vaughn, easy as that.

Get tired of dumb comments like this one.

The only question is HOW MANY RUNNING BACKS WILL THE PANTHERS KEEP?

If the answer is 3 (if Tolbert is listed as an FB), then should Poole be the third one?

That's all that matters as far as this thread is concerned, not "reps".

Poole can be the 3rd RB with Tolbert the FB and Brockel the 3rd TE / backup FB. It's the best set up because if anyone gets hurt, we have another guy that is solid right behind him.

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
