Kealoha Pilares

i guess armanti is "more versatile" because in addition to being a mediocre punt returner we can also throw him under center for one play every third game and take our biggest offensive threat off the field.

it's like saying a stick of beef jerky is better than a burger because it comes with a processed cheese stick too.

Pilares shat all over VIP yesterday.

lmao no he didnt

from what i remember he had two terrible boneheaded kickoff returns and 1 catch

he doesnt belong on this team and he will get cut eventually anyway. he obviously will never be on the field at receiver in the regular season with how Murphy is playing and he is completely boneheaded on kickoff returns.

Yeah, but it was a nice catch. He grabbed it over the middle like he was Wes Welker or something.

Can't believe anyone would say that Edwards has more versatility than anyone else on the Panthers. IMO, offensive linemen have more versatility than Edwards. Even if all Pilares has going for him is one kick return for a td, thats still more than Armanti has in two plus years. If it comes down to Edwards or Pilares, then Pilares definitely has more versatility and should get the roster spot over a guy that has had 2.5 years and has shown that he can't return kicks or punts, and hasn't shown much at wide receiver.

    • Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need.  (DE)  Now this guy is a NT like Brown III
    • But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60.  No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by.  Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense.
    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
