Ever had a boss...

This is a small business and he's been a successful business man since '89, but I have no idea how. He preaches about efficiency but he is the most inefficient man I've ever met.

Today this custumer had a Verizon modem that was not compatible with our NX8 panels. We had already tried twice previously at other places and both times they didn't work and Verizon told us they won't and will never work with NX8 panels. I tell our boss this at the job and he says he'll talk to the customer about it. Well i thought that was the end of that. After lunch, he was back at the job and wanted to try it again. I was like, didn't we already try this twice? But he was like yea but this could be a different model....it wasn't. It was the same exact thing. They don't make different models. It's the exact same f**king thing we tried to make work the past 2 times. Well, we ended up wasting a couple hours and in the end it didn't work. Im seriously considering somewhere else. He totally disrespected me. If he listened to me to begin with, we would've been out of there sooner. Im searching now as we speak.

the longer you work, the more astonishing it is that people have mastered the art of faking intelligence.

That's exactly him. He acts like he's smarter than everyone else and only his opinion rules supreme. Really, he is an idiot and i dont understand how he's been able to stay in business because of it. I could write a book about how dumb this guy is.

You had to call verizon to figure out the problem. How much smarter are you then him?

When you have a problem with a product and have tried all you can to make it work, don't you call customer service?

We didn't have to call this time about their modems and their ability to transmit signals with our boards because I already knew it wouldn't work due trying to make it work previously. I told him it wouldn't work, he wanted to do it anyway, and what do you know? It didn't work. Two hours down the drain from a man that preaches about time.

    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
    • Except it wouldn't be Rodgers leading them on a postseason run, it would be the defense and he's there to not screw up their great games. Which is why..... This times a million. I didn't watch a ton of the Jets last year, but from what I did see, Rodgers himself didn't look like a bum, the team just struggled and was more than likely due to poor coaching on the whole.  The Steelers don't need MVP level Rodgers to win games, they just need him to be good enough to make some plays when it matters because the defense is keeping them in games every week regardless. In their 7 losses last season, the Steelers scored 10, 13, 17, 17, 17, 19, and 24... while giving up 19, 20, 24, 27, 27, 29, and 34 in those games.  With only marginally better offense last year, they probably end up winning a few more games too. They only scored over 27 points in 3 games last season. I think this is a great move by the Steelers and if Rodgers can stay healthy all year, will get them back into the playoffs and could make some noise if their defense is up to the normal level of a Steelers defense.
