Also, try to use Google to find the puzzle. Google the title of it, who made it, yada yada. Used to do that back in the day at school and a lot of the times you find answer keys/where the teacher got it from,

The fourteenth is usually called the great amendment. I'm not sure what word would go there, unless one of the other letters are wrong.

I think it is the last name of the president during reconstruction (Johnson) even though he opposed it for the most part... not sure what the clue could be worded at, but I did find this

I actually wrote a paper about 5 influential things after the civil war I remember in high school. There were 3 great ammendments so maybe the first word is "three"?
