Steve Smith, Mike Tolbert, Jordan Gross, Jon Beason among those who did not practice today. They won't play vs. Steelers.

I'm becoming worried.

Rivera says Steve Smith is feeling great and is expected to be fine for Week 1 against Tampa.

Nice news about SS... what's up with Beason, his hammy? Maybe they're gonna hold him out until the first practice in direct prep for the Tampa Bay game... maybe... I hope... please...

it's his hammy from what i've heard and it's got more to do with tenderness as a result of him healing from his achilles. he had to compensate (well, i don't know if he had to) and that stressed it. best thing for hammys is rest. no need to push it right now. it won't take him long to get back into the swing of things.

I'm just hoping it doesn't turn into every week he's "supposed"to practice or "just a matter of time" and he ends up missing more weeks like Gettis. Gettis has been sidelined for nearly three months already and had to be put on PUP. For his hamstring.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
