Cam segment coming up on ESPN

Only one of those picks was costly in the game. The other two were meaningless to an already lost game. Cam isn't unable to run a pro offense and making that assumption is ludicrous. The fact is that Chud has designed a gimmicky offense under the guise of being "innovative" so as to supposedly play off of Cam's unique skill set. This approach is quickly being exposed for the stupidity that it is. Cam needs to be running a pro style offense just like all the other elite QB's. His ability as a runner would only make him that much more dangerous. We do NOT need to be designing an offense around his ability to run, doing so is foolish. Cam can throw the ball, and throw it amazingly well. Let him play fuging QB - do not turn him into a glorified option running back.

All the picks are costly, and that includes the Buc's game as well. Chud was brought in to call plays and tailor an offense around Newton. The Panthers designed their offense around Newton's abilities, that's why we're not running a Pro O, because he doesn't have that ability, that was his knock coming out of college. That's why we're running shotgun at the goal line.

All INTs are really on a QB. When you put a QB in 3rd downs where punting or throwing it away are worse options than a risky throw.....that isn't really on the QB. That is on the team. Same can be said for that "fumble"...loss of down not pitching it.

Stats last year showed Cam was actually better when under C than in the gun 1/4 of the way in last year. Newton can run anything with good play calling and not in desperation mode

Go look at those picks on tape and tell me they weren't his fault.

False. He ran more of a Pro-O last year than this year and he excelled at it. We are running what we are running because we are foolishly trying to take advantage of Cam's running skill set. The kid can play a traditional offense, but Chud and Rivera were trying to create something "new". It's not working and it has nothing with Cam having limited abilities.

Tell me, if it's not a QB's fault he throws picks and fumbles why isn't Jake Delhomme still our QB?

First one was on Cam

Next ones were on the team. If he doesn't force a throw.....what realistic option does he take? He had no choice but to gamble. he gets put in those spot often.....knowing he can't punt or play for another down

The fact that he has a mind coach period is a Huge Red flag imo...

He just needs to remove his head from his ass, man up, and come through in the clutch. It will happen, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Ok let's see you live with the immense national pressure, scrutiny, and difficulty that he deals with day in and day out, I'm sure you'd be able to handle it so much better, at least he's willing to try these things out to mature himself and make himself a better player and person, I have no idea how this is a "red flag" yes we know how immature he acts but at least he's acknowledging this and working on improving himself?? In fact (correct me of I'm wrong) I think Tom Brady had this in college as well, look how he turned out?? Jesus Christ why is this such a big deal to everyone?

I'm not trolling, DA is a vet and was a pro bowler in this offense for the Browns

Your trolling is weak Mr. 17 posts who joined the board a couple days ago with Cam Newton as your avatar picture......yet claim DA is a the QB we should be playing.

DA got benched for Brady Quinn in this offense......DA has spent a career sucking every year his number was called outside 2007

Work on your trolling. Troll game is weak.

This offense, that we are running this year, has very little in common with the Browns offense of 6 years ago, outside of maybe the route tree, which all offenses share to an extent.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
