Walking dead season 3

My opinion:

Over the next two episodes...

Andrea convinces Milton and Tyreese's crew to split with her and make a break for the prison. They do so during the night, on foot.

Michonne learns of the offer that the Governor made, and doesn't give Rick the chance to respond. She leaves on her own, seemingly headed for Woodbury.

Rick and co. feel helpless, and just dig in and reinforce. With Michonne gone, they have no alternative.

Andrea's group intercepts Michonne. Michonne learns that the Governor wants everyone dead anyways, and decides to return, with Andrea's group, to the prison.

The Governor realizes Andrea's group has gone, and takes whomever he can rally with him to the prison.

The assault begins. The Gov. brings a trailer full of Walkers to let into the inner gate (which they ram much like they did the outer). It looks dim for Rick's crew, as the assault is pretty heavy. Woodbury folks are launching mortars and giving heavy fire.

Andrea's crew plus Michonne show up just in time. Tyreese and co. take Andrea into the prison yard the way they originally got in. Michonne disappears. Early in the assault, Tyreese's sister takes a bullet or gets got by walkers... Tyreese rages and goes hammer time on all the walkers that were let loose inside the fences, allowing Rick's crew to focus on the Woodbury folks.

Andrea takes up a sniping position and offs several Woodbury crew. This allows her character to have some sort of redemption in the series.

Michonne appears, and gets the Governor, who has just shot Tyreese.

What's left of the Woodbury crew either dies or flees.

Rick and co. casualties:

Carol

Hershel

Beth

Judith (who was being taken care of by Beth)

Milton

Tyreese

Sasha

Alan

Ben

This only leaves Rick, Carl, Andrea, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Merle, and Daryl at a destroyed prison that is no longer safe.

The group sees little choice other than to move on, especially considering the number of people and who they have lost at the prison.

Really curious to see what happens to end this story arc.

In the comics almost the whole fuging crew dies cept for Rick and Carl and they go on a new adventure and form mostly a new crew. Through various plot devices the new crew was Rick/Carl, Michionne, Glenn, Maggie, Andrea, and new people.

I could defiantly see a mixing of the Woodberry peoples and the current crew to move ahead with the story line AND keep close to what happens in the comics.

The biggest question in my mind? What happens to LiL AssKicker..

Oh I forgot to add that my theory above on how things will play out is based on comic stuff mostly...

I think Tyreese is basically a wasted character in the show... UNLESS

he somehow becomes the role Abraham played for the group after they leave the prison

As far as Judith

I really think, based on some of the cast's comments in the past, that she doesn't make it out alive... hence the prediction of her and Beth biting the dust...

I'm thinking that it's quite obvious that Andrea will kill The Governor. But then again, in the comics it was obvious that Michonne was going to kill him but it ended up being some random woman who killed him. I'm hoping for this:

Deaths

Glen - He just comes off as a massive pussy who is trying too hard to be tough.

Governor - He has to die. The show would be really boring if they drug out the prison arc at this point into another season.

Herschel - I don't think there's any way he survives.

Carol - She's useless.

Merle - I think he's likely to die even though I'd love to see him stay on for another season.

Judith - I just can't see them traveling with a baby

Beth - Just seems like good cannon fodder

Martinez - Would be cool to see him join up with Rick but I doubt it'll happen. Daryl will probably kill him

Then next season the group would be on the road and being stalked by The Hunters from the comics. Which if done right could be even better than it was in the comics and span most of the season. They'd have a group with Rick, Daryl, Maggie, Andrea, Tyrese, Carl, and a few more thrown in.

It wouldnt surprise me at this point if they kill the baby at the end of the season. Could be a reason why the show is keeping a connection to her low.

Hard to say. They spent a whole season searching for Sophia and building up hope just to see her dead at the end. The producers of this show love to kick you in the balls.

Oh, and a cool moment no one has mentioned...Beth breaking up the fight by firing the gun off.

Was fun to watch. She never gets to express any pissedoffedness.

I was surprised when I found out the actress that plays Beth is almost 30(27 to be exact). I thought she was closer to her characters age. lol

    • Like I said before, I don't get the "only as a UDFA" sentiment, you have to keep following your board. Now if Pavia falls to what amounts to the supplementary UDFA section of the board, that's great, but if he's sitting at the top when you're picking day three (yes, I can't see him being drafted before day three), then you pull the trigger. Rounds 5-7 don't generally provide keepers anyway, you can use them for players that you want to take a closer look at that you may be able to develop.  Pavia may not translate to the pros. Nobody would bet anything of value on it. But, he was highly productive in college due to his play extension abilities, "body torque" mechanics on short and intermediate throws, and good accuracy on said throws. And, he has that dawg in him to be sure.  All that being said, Drew Allar will probably be able to be had on day three, and if it comes down to it--due to nothing but my prejudice against short, weak-armed QBs--I'd pick Allar.
    • Yeah, receivers contracts are crazy, and it's probably not going to change. You almost have to take your swings--keep some picks at WR churning between rounds one through three in order to keep your costs down and give you options at contract time. Creating that value surplus appears to be more important at WR and all the premium positions than getting a non-premium position player who generally are just easier to replace as it pertains to value. The holy grail is to hit on a premium position late, but due to the gradually declining hit rate on days one and two that drops off a cliff day three, you basically have to get lucky.
    • Very interesting indeed. It did make my head swim more. It said a lot, but it still didn't give any concrete answers. Kinda makes me want to pivot back towards a premium position though...
