Yup, It's the coaches

It finally occurred to me. It's coaching. We're not really short on talent, championships have been won by teams with a bad running game, a thin secondary, average QB etc...

Inability to do the fundamentals like tackling - that's on coaching

I don't care how bad our DBs are, but so many plays, they are not where they are supposed to be - that's on coaching

1st and goal you run Mr scat-back Deangelo williams into a brick wall...4th and inches, instead of using Cam's big body, running J- stew or Tolbert, you roll out Cam...and what happened next, well...Cam't accuracy is another thread on its own, but that's still on coaching...

Chud...You almost became a head-coach last summer....You're lucky if you coach Tight ends again...You're a fraud

McDumbass actually was calling a good game until we entered the obligatory meltdown give-the-game-away mode

Rivera .... sighs....Find a dictionary and look up the word adjustment

Good example is people like Parcells....He took over the jets and instantly they went from a joke to contenders with mostly the same players his 1st year....Some coaches simply have it. We're not a disciplined football team and that's the main reason we suck right now

Coaching is not the reason Cam fumbled last week...coaching is not the reason Smitty fumbled last week...coaching is not the reason Cam was overthrowing everything tonight...coaching is not the reason DWill fumbled tonight...coaching is not the reason the WR's and RB's kept dropping passes...coaching us not the reason that Can threw the ball into the turf when he had a wide open TE 5 yds in front of him.

This team has talent, but they are not executing.

Coaching has been lacking on this team, but that us only a small part of the problem.

Games have been won despite fumbles and interceptions....that's been happening for decades...Fumbles happen to the best of them. Heck, sometimes defense makes a great play...Typical example is the play-calls like the d-will option play...We've been trying it all game and it has not been working. So what does our OC do, call it one more time against the same package as well as the same personnel.... Cam pitched it to D-will knowing he had no chance and nowhere to go....The seahawks player went straight for the ball, because D-will needs some space to get going, the seahawks player was not gambling much by going after the ball...D-will was going nowhere

The issue is play-calling, the issue is discipline, the issue is adjustments/lack there of. I really thought Rivera would be the type of dude that would put his foot up these player's a$$es...What a let down

All of what you said sounds like coaching to me. A lack of execution is fixed by coaches enforcing their expections and not accepting anything less than perfection. We play like our coaches act...

Same RBs that rushed for 1100+ yds each a few years ago... with arguably a better oline now.

Same QB that threw for over 4000 yds last year.

with an added a legitimate scoring weapon at FB.

and with an improved WR core.

difference is playcalling. please stop this option BS. it is NOT working. DWill and JStew are not receiving threats. they are RBs!!! treat them like actual NFL RBs. not like college option backs. I fully blame this offense's implosion on scheme and playcalling.

the Dwill fumble was an example of why this coaching staffs sucks so much

Haha really? Im not saying our coaching is perfect or even good, but you sure you dont want to look at that post again. The coaches are the reason Williams got stripped? The PLAYER got stripped and its the coaches fault? Moron.

Defense just doesn't make a ton of plays. But Keek is the real deal. He is a player you can build a defense around. Just seems to me that the defense is usually successful when they play press man coverage. we just need to be more aggressive on that side of the ball with the playcalling. sick of seeing us gashed with that bail out crap.

    • Me and you clearly have different definitions of production. If you remove the 2023 season where Thielen had just over 1k yards he is 43rd on our all time receivers list just ahead of Jonathan Mingo. And before you ask why would we remove that season? Well a couple reasons. For one thing we won a whopping 2 games. And for the biggest. Thielen was 14th in targets in 2023. We absolutely force fed him the ball all season and finished with the 32nd passing offense. For comparison sake 33 year old Jerricho Cotchery eclipsed over 1k total yards in just 2 more games and with 67 less targets than Thielen did in that 2023 season. He has above average hands. That's it. We overpaid him because we were desperate and overvalued him. That's the reality no matter how many times you or anyone else wants to quote me and get defensive about it.
    • He's played great and it was a win-win (rare free agent) for both parties.  One of the points is he hasn't made enough difference to "waste" 35 million on. Another point is by the time Panthers are hitting their prime, he would have taken snaps away from young WRs/TEs/RBs. "Thus" in the long term, hurting the teams new future "window."  But I dare think of the monkey poo of a offense the Panthers had without him the past 2 years. Lack of talent leads to many problems, including paying a 35 year old to be somewhat respectable. Hes one of few that cared enough and made a effort. Plus you know he's done great stuff in many other ways for the team, community juggernaut, leadership, etc.  Judgement is for AT and his 3 year panther career!!
    • But it has gotten a little wacky. RBs-https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/contracts/_/position/rb     A couple months ago iggles made Bark the highest guaranteed RB, jeanty was until then. That's what matters the guarantee. A rookie never played a down was the leader, until iggles howie made things right.  If a safety gets drafted in the top 8 or so, he would have the highest money too or very close to it.    Add in TEs and C too.    Even with the fixed %, the numbers are getting too much for a player that's not proven themselves.     Plus anytime a QB is drafted it screws up the contracts for players around and if next year a punter gets drafted at the same 90th spot, they want the same contract with the 5.7% increase. Teams would be laughing.    Its just reached this point. Another 10 years and I bet the vets will be crying.
