And we couldn't anyway, unless it was combined with a restructure of Gross or Gamble, freeing up money for this year. We trade him this year, even with him agreeing to a new contract with another team, and we would have to take a $9.6 million hit to our cap. I'm sure we don't have that kind of space.

that's all you needed to see, is Beason worth more than a 4th to you? he is to me even hurt, so ill keep him and let him get healthy before i make any kneejerk reactions

Beason think he's better than what he is, and always have. It pains me to say, but him and Patrick Willis should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

With that said, I would trade him for a 4th. Being able to dump his contract, would be well worth it.

um nah, Beason has been at the right spot but tackling seems to be an issue. If it is something with his shoulder that just needs time, no need to rush. If he says he is 100% and starts slipping that is another story but I don't think we'd get much. I hope if he continues to go downhil he'll restructure but doubtful. I don't question whether he has the will to get over it though- so its a hell no right now IMO.
