Cowboy Fan Here

Hi guys - I am flying in Friday from the Twin Cities, MN (my Dad from Dallas) to come see the Cowboys vs. Panthers game this weekend.

My Dad and I visit a new stadium each year and each time rely on the locals in guiding us to must see, must do things. We typically get a stadium tour of each place, but any other suggestions of where to eat or things we need to do while we are there is much appreciated.

Don't worry, we have some Carolina fans coming to visit who live a few hours away, so our camp will be half Cowboy blue / half Carolina blue.

Good luck this weekend...

"oh look a cowboys fan that's not even from texas, I AM SO COMPLETELY FUKKING SHOCKED"

Oh, I see. I forgot to mention I will be flying in an airplane and not taking the ox and wagon from where I live.

Please note this is also how I moved from Dallas to Minnesota.

Thank you for the kind words. I am really looking forward to the game.

MrTD - I do not intend to offend you or anyone else. I am a southern man myself, but the assumption that I am not from Dallas when I mentioned my Dad is coming from Dallas is a poor assumption by Rock'n'Roll.

We are sitting 40 yard line first row.

Any suggestions on where to eat (besides poo) or what to do (kill myself) with my 60 year old Dad would be appreciated.

bank of america stadium is notorious for the laid-back nature of its amiable owners and hometown crowd. standard operating procedures for visiting fans is to tear off as much clothing as possible and moon the field as boisterously as possible while singing "my humps" at the top of your lungs. seriously, it will probably get you on fan cam and a free bench warmer. maybe you can pass it down to tony romo if you're on the opposing bench.

we look forward to your attendance!

    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
    • It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
