.02 seconds after the handoff....

I about lost my freaking mind when he lined up in the shotgun on that late 4th and 1 after the phantom time out. You're putting yourself five yards further away from the line to gain. Just get under center and smash forward to keep the game going. I don't think I'm ever going to accept that this is just the way we do it.

Whats up with the handoffs all looking like Cam wont let go of the ball? I dont remember seeing them look so stiff last year.

He is deciding on if he should hand it off or if he should keep it and run. Yet another hesitation that brings the defenders close.

it's a hesitation move that, in college, freezes the slower, less talented defenses seen at that level and allows the faster and more athletic players on offense to make plays.

of course, in the nfl where much more talented and athletic defenders play, they just use that dead air to bull rush their way in to the backfield regardless and stop it for no gain.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
