Man Fox and Hurney truly gutted this team down and denied great players spots on this team.

I hope to god Ron gets the opportunity to build the sort of defense that this team needs.

De ja vu

Cam unfortunately reminds me of my ex girlfriend.. rediculously competitive woman .. but when reality meets her amazing fantasy ideas - a mental emotional blackhole appears. I have a weird idea of what some of his teammates go through and trust me it the equivalent of mental rape.I went through hell with that woman for a year until i just couldn't take it anymore and just quit that mess of a relationship.

Unfortunately for me.. i love the panthers and have no choice but to let Cam grow up no matter how long it takes. - it wont be easy and i dont think cam still gets it but he will learn the HARDWAY that to hoist that trophy - youve got to have a great team around you. Its a TEAM effort - Its about patience and Hurney unfortunately was responsible for the mediocrity that is carolina now. A team that somehow reserves a spot on their roster for Thomas Davis and Steve Smith as their best receiver.

I truly hope Ron gets a chance to absolutely decimate this roster and rebuild it to perfection especially on defense. Im sick of watching us hit the waiver wire every godamn week. Most of the players are scared shitless about the gutting down of this roster that will happen this offseason. The next GM im sure will have no emotional connection to them but i have a feeling the big cat will make sure we get to to keep Ron (Hes a great catch)

I can see the tears on cams face as he Hoists that trophy and speaks into that mic - the beauty of knowing that no matter how competitive you think you are, no matter what sort of physical or mental gifts you have -we are all subject to gravity and that being great takes time, trust and patience (with a little pain involved)

Go panthers.

Broke up. HAD some serious issues.. its been a year a very very happy year. No stress no drama just pure bliss and here comes Newton giving me nightmares.. sheesh.. theres no running from Cam unfortunately Lol :) I love Carolina waay too much.

Sounds like you have some serious issues with your ex... That's what I got out of that.

P.S. cute heart in the thread title

Ron is one hell of a defensive coach.. he just needs time and an offensive partner that can match up to him. Couple that with Cam growing the F#$ck up and were $. Honestly 3 - 4 superbowls in our future. :)

What's crazy is that we're 7 weeks into Rivera's 2nd season and none of us know what his defensive principles are.

I am not sure I want Rivera around and will leave it up to the new GM to make that decision based on what he feels is best. That being said, as it pertains to the title of this thread I agree. How quickly our fan base forgets that through our recent years of garbage football it was David Carr, Matt Moore, and Clausen as the QB we were depending on. I will take and try to make this thing work and rebuild with Cam Newton any day of the week.

Personally, I think Rivera has done a fine job with the D. Considering what he has to work with anywho. It is Chud that is keeping us down. His playcalling has been a thing of unbeauty. It is no wonder the whole offense seems to be in a funk. No one has any clue what the hell we are doing.

Players need direction. They need to know what they are doing is going to work. Right now I don't think anyone has a positive vibe about our O. Except maybe Chud.

That said. Unless Chud has his head in the sand. He has to know he is in a world of hurt where it comes to his job. Get it straightened out, or we will find someone who will. That may not happen until year ends. But if Chud does not figure it out. His tenure could be short lived.

I want the old Chud back. This team could be in the thick of things with an offense that can put up some points. Or at least an offense that can make Cam look like Cam and not whatever it is Chud has turned him into.

Somehow we still managed better records with David Carr and Matt Moore than now

until/unless we win another one this year the same can be said of Pickles clausen

LOL, yeah all those 3rd and long 30 yard runs?? doesnt he lead the team in rushing? Steve Smith and Thomas Davis are 2 of the bright spots on this team why wouldnt you bitch about the safety play or oline play??? oh because you are too busy drawing hearts on your wuttle notepad

    • okay I found this and it sounds like my hopes for the first surgery being not such a great job seems like it could be actual reality.  I only hoped because that would give a better chance for recovery and ia a possible scenario so I just thought it could be possible. Had no real evidence of it. But I’ll be damned.    This is a detailed report of Brooks’ surgery and the condition of his knee after the failed repair.     https://x.com/jmthrivept/status/2055743129408704806?s= Sparked by some very good questions by @CoachspeakIndex, here’s some info on Jonathon Brooks: 1. Speculation that the first graft/ACLR by Dr. Cooper didn’t “take” or at least was too lax, leading to failure and re-tear. Brooks dealt with issues cutting, progressing in his rehab into the early stages of 2024 and then re-tore it late 2024, requiring a second ACLR in January 2025 (essentially revision). Notably, CAR prolonged Brooks’ rehab process through Sept-Oct due to issues progressing into the next stages of rehab. 2. Second surgery performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who has extensive experience with revisions. He did a double bundle technique, harvesting graft from Brooks’ left patellar tendon and a strip of his right IT Band (his right patellar tendon had been utilized for the prior graft in 2023. The double bundle technique significantly increases rotational stability of the knee, leading to a stronger and more secure graft/reconstruction. Also to note, Brooks’ surgery wasn’t significantly delayed, meaning that the tunnels from his prior ACLR were in good shape and they didn’t need to perform bone grafts to fill in (would have delayed 2nd surgery by 5-6 months). Essentially, reading the tea leaves tells me that everything else except for the graft itself was still in good quality within his knee. Good sign for future.  3. Typically, you see a performance increase anywhere from 16-20 months post-revision. Brooks will be ~21 months out from his second surgery by the time Week 1 hits. His knee should be more stable and stronger this time around, with adequate time for healing and return to all movement patterns. I’m not viewing this situation as a typical “Player __ had TWO ACL tears, he’s cooked” situation. Rather, I’m viewing it as the first procedure failed, but the second procedure is significantly stronger and should allow him to return to form this time around. I don’t know why it posted as a link but there it is.
    • Jackie, any more reps tomorrow, or is that it for this session?  thanks for the work
    • How can you say they aren’t trying to win now with all the moves made in free agency? Or is trading first round picks the only way to be win now? I’d be fine never trading another first round pick again, win now be damned.
