Why do injuries linger on this team and not other teams?

Ok, Adrian Peterson, Tore his ACL late last season on Christmas Eve and now just months later not only is he back to his former self but he may even look better than before. Trent Richardson, had major knee (or leg) injury during training camp only a few months ago. But yet he is on the field beasting opposing defenses like its nothing.

Then look at us. Beason tears his achilles at the very start of last season giving him over a year to recover, not even midway through the season he is now on IR yet again. Thomas Davis, sure he looks good now. But it took 3 ACL surgeries to finally play well again.

Does it just go back to us not being tough and our guys just not working hard enough to get back in shape? Is oit our coaching staff? Same goes for Hogan and Gettis, why do I have a feeling if Gettis had the same doctors and treatment AP had, he would be half way through 1000 rec yds this season already?

Bah humbug

I mean seriously, if AP was on our team, can you honestly say he would be playing at the same level ne is now post injury? Heck no, we would be talking about if Rivera would be activating him off the PUP before next week's deadline. Sure, different people heal different ways, but this is a trend for our team.

makes you wonder. Beason has had some problems coming back.

when T. Suggs suffered his achilles injury....... I laughed when he said he would be back this season.

I would have lost a lot of money betting on that one.

Suggs had a partial tear...Beason had a complete rupture. There's a big difference there.

I dont think Trent had major knee surgery, it was just cleaning things up in there. Adrian Peterson is a physical freak. Suggs had a partial tear. And it could be the doctors, as with TD, his last surgery he said was probably his best thanks to the doctor. Other times, like Beason, athletes take pressure off their previous injury and apply extra pressure in other places, like his knee. Then it comes down to the players body. Not everyone is equipped to handle the same things.

Hahahahahaaa.....really? Oh,you're right it only happens to us.

we're no different than really anyone else. all teams get snakebit by the injury bug at one point or another. most teams have guys with lingering injuries.

or you could just point to it as another "woe is me" thing and think we are the only ones that this kind of thing happens to.

Two points:

Injuries happen to every team

Not having adequate depth makes the injuries determine if you can continue to win with them

i would add to that last statement, having a coaching staff that can sucessfully adjust what they do without that player around.

    • The Athletic posted their goalie rankings for the season... The description of the tiers are as follows... Where would you rank Freddie and Pyotr? And don't cheat and look up the article. I'll post their ranks and the link in a bit.
    • Refs will be in their pocket. Always have to account for that. They are 20th in rush defense. They currently have the worst pass defense in the league. I mean I want to say even Bryce could at least put up 250 or more passing yards given that but man he looked BAD when the pocket collapsed against Miami and they had the 20th pass defense. Just can't expect to consistently get clean pockets like that in this league even with the better OL's. I'd say with this being a home game hopefully our guys will be motivated regardless. We certainly seem to play much better at home. We'll see.
    • They'd never do it, because it really would be insane to do, but if I'm the Commanders, I'd seriously consider trading Daniels after this season, especially as he'd get a HUGE return for him. He's RG3 part 2, with his body type and style of game, I just can't see how he holds up long term, he's going to end up having a seriously injury prone career. It would take some massive balls (or pure insanity) to pull the trigger on trading him, but I do think 5 years from now it would be looked back upon as a smart trade.
