Does anyone think the Broncos are better than the Bears or Falcons?

Matt Ryan is playing just as good if not better than Peyton Manning this year, he also has a much nastier supporting cast with Julio Jones, Gonzalez and Roddy White. We lead the Falcons the whole game literally until the final seconds oh and BTW in the Georgia dome. They are 8-0

Chicago Bears are 7-1 with perhaps the best defense in the whole league, we played them at soilder field and once again dominated until the final minutes. My point to all this is..

A. Denver will be playing back to back games in different time zones away and B. they are 5-3, and C. Broncos seem due for a loss.

I think Sunday will finally be the turning point for us and we finally beat a GOOD team. Does anyone really think the Broncos are better than the Bears or Falcons?

No, i dont think the Bears or Falcons are ready to claim the NFC. The Broncos are right there with them in the sense that they play good, but are entirely beatable. None of these teams are like last years GB packers (reg season). The broncos rely too much on peyton and he can be self defeating sometimes although rarely. Hes the entire brain of the team.

Matt Ryan is playing just as good if not better than Peyton Manning this year,

I don't see how Matt Ryan is playing better, Manning is arguably having the best season out of every QB.

Peyton Manning

203/292 69.5% - 1st in the NFL

2,404(300.5 YPG) - 3rd in the NFL

8.2 YPA - 1st in the NFL

20TDs - 3rd in the NFL

6INTS

71 yard longest pass

37 passes over 20 yards - 1st in the NFL

5 passes over 40 yards

108.6 QB rating - 1st in the NFL

Matt Ryan

206/299 68.9%

2,360(295.0 YPG)

7.9 YPA

17TDs

6INTs

63 yard longest pass

26 passes over 20 yards

5 passes over 40 yards

103.0 QB rating

Manning beats Ryan in every QB statistic.. On 7 less throws.

Add that with a RB on pace for 1200 yards, with the 11th most in the NFL

a OL allowing the least sacks in the league,

One WR in the top 5 for TDs with another in the top 5 for yards,

An offense ranked in the top 5(having played the #1 #3 and #9 ranked defenses)

a defense ranked statistically in the top 10(having played the #1 #5 #8 and #11 ranked offenses),

an OLB 1.5 sacks out of the league lead and top 10 TFL

A different OLB in the top 10 for tackles

a DE with 6 more sacks,

a Kicker kicking 100% and 3rd in touchbacks

a punter in the top 3 net avg,

a kick/punt returner leading the league in avg yards

and the fact that three starters are coming back in the next two weeks(DJ Williams, Tracy Porter, Chris Kuper)

This Bronco team only recently started to gain their chemistry, and could very well run the table the rest of the season. At this point in time, I believe they are one of the best teams in the NFL, arguably the best.

Any team with Peyton Manning is not to be taken lightly, especially being that Manning is just hitting his stride post-injury. The Bears' defense is nothing you want to face every week. I think the Falcons are overrated (but, that could just be my hate talking), and also lucky. If those teams played each other ten times, I could easily see the Broncos at least splitting with them.

Not that I want to start a thread with this question so I think its appropriate here. Q. What kind of reception does John Fox get once he takes the field on Sunday? A round of nasty Boooo's? or a pleasant golf clap from the crowd?

I'll be there, as usual, just wondering what the sentiment will be...

    • It goes deeper than that for me. When I started watching the Panthers as a kid I fell in love with Mark Fields’ story during that SB run. He wore #58. Then TD wore it and kept the tradition of the being the soul of the Panthers. The next time someone wears #58 I hope brings that same spirit
    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
