Sold out means you cant get a ticket for 15 bucks 20 minutes before the game starts

Hardly.... you may have to fork over about $20.

What I'd really like to know is if BOA has ever had every seat filled. Sold means nothing... hell, about every team in the NFL sells out... except Jacksonville...

Bengals

Buccaneers

Dolphins

Chargers

Jacksonville

Have all had problems selling tickets and have had MANY blackouts. Bengals game was just blacked out this weekend because they couldn't sell 2,000 Bucs as well who couldn't sell 7,000.

Win & they will come.

The team has been 8-8, 2-14, 6-10, & currently 2-6. You can't expect 70,000+ Panther fans to come running into BOA stadium. When the team is winning this fanbase is a rabid & intense as any come game time. In '08, after we went 12-4, BOA stadium was jam packed with Panther fans & absolutely rocking for the Cardinals game.

The Eagles, Steelers, etc are considered to have better fan bases. It isn't true. They are just more consistent at winning. Look at Philly this year. Their stadium was a ghost town during their last home game.

Just because fans don't flock in groves to come spend hard earned money & cheer for a losing product doesn't make them "bandwagon" fans. Most of them still watch the team every week; sitting at home on their sofa. I don't blame them. Once the team starts winning consistently there will be far less opposing team fans & far less tickets being scalped.

Win & they will come.

Doesn't mean poo to me really. Don't care for anymore JR letters. I thank PSL owners long before I'd appriciate JR. This isn't an accomplishment that had any significance, well except if you're a fan of the Panthers for the buisness aspect and even then you'd have to be ok locking people into contracts rather than have the product sell the seats. I'd rather see a satdium full because the team is winning and derserve that kind of crowd. As stated above I was at that Cardinal game in 08 and after Dwills first score of the game 30 seconds in, that place was louder than a Dallas Cowboy playoff game in the 90s, I went to a couple of those as well.

It is all about winning, as it should be. The crowd is something the team earns. The crowd will keep going for a while but 2-3 losing seasons and it falls back on the team's shoulder to get the crowd back again.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
