Panthers defense the last 3 weeks

Defense looking good against Tony Romo, RG3, and Jay Cutler doesn't mean much to me.

I still think they need a lot of work. Our "bend but don't break" defense can still look ridiculously vulnerable at times.

you keep on saying "our bend but don't break defense" but that's not what i've been seeing the past few weeks. they are being a lot more aggressive and they aren't playing the soft zones they were against the giants...at least not most of the game.

i just don't see that bend but don't break thing going on like we used to or very much at all.

We allowed RG3 to pass for 215 yards and gave up 129 rushing yards on 24 attempts (5.3 ypc) last week. If our defense was so solid, Shanahan wouldn't have gone for three 4th down conversions in one drive (which I don't think was a bad call, considering how weak our defense was playing). I still think our greatest strength on defense is keeping teams out of the endzone and that makes us look more solid than we actually are. Outside of our talent in the redzone, we do get pushed around pretty easily. Peyton knows how to complete drives. I'm worried.

We held a high scoring offense to 13 points with theyre only touchdown coming just after the two minute warning....what else do you want? Shutouts? Under 100 yards of offense?

Did you even read my post? I said despite what the scoreboard says, our defense still looked very vulnerable. If it wasn't for our talent and clutch performances in the redzone, this defense would look very soft and exploitable. If that isn't "bend but don't break", then I don't know what is. We're not playing a baby quarterback this week. We're playing Peyton Manning. I don't see why I shouldn't be worried. If our defense plays the same way they've been playing lately, I don't think it will work against Peyton. But the defense is improving immensely, so I hope they look even better this week. I'm not disappointed in our defense, but I'm not about to start bragging either. A lot of work needed.

and all it took was our quote best LB and CB going to IR

Beason was playing hurt...seemed to be at 59%. Coaches should have let him sit.

crazy we are only 1-2 in that span.

Better calls on the D and that could have been 3-0. I am still very mad about the Bears game. Rivera gave it to them.

I know were giving up yards...but I just don't see this bend but don't break style. They're playing more aggressive on the outside and linebackers are playing more downhill. Just because were great in the redzone doesn't mean it's a bend but don't break style
