I'm down for that. Maybe our new GM pulls a miracle and trades 2 or 3 of our players (as much as I love guys like Deangelo and Beason, we need the long term cap space and we're too fat at those positions to neglect others) and get some 3rds and/or 4ths we might be able to package to move to the 2nd and not even need to trade a future pick. I know I just don't want to trade any future 1sts.

Just wanted to bump this given the bowl season has swept on by and other WRs have become hot to talk about. I'd like to throw Patton back in the discussion for us.

On top of what he did to Banks against Miss St., I think another performance that shines out was against Illinois and a strong CB in Terry Hawthorne:

Patton is solid. Whoever lands him will have an impact receiver right away.

If we want him we'll have to take him in the 2nd for sure. No way in hell he lasts until the 4th or even the 3rd if we wind up trading down and picking a 3rd rounder up.

Yea, Patton is nice. If there's some freak run on WRs through the 1st and top half of the 2nd and Allen, Hunter, Rogers, Patterson and Hopkins are all off the board when our 2nd rolls around I wouldn't mind taking Patton there at all.
